Romanos just posted that its the Rags, surprising decision by the players. Rags with a totally new frontline this season. Hope Barcodes dont go after Jackson and give more money to Chelsea.

snapping up a bargin here in sesko because ....... paid less than newcastle wanted to pay who are using PFI money as nunez moves to saudi club

It's not just the cost of the land, freightliner will have to buy new land and build. Something they weren't planning to do so its not unreasonable to expect the rags to fund that. Hence the land price
From memory I thought that the idea was for Freightliner to merge two sites into one new one at the old Parkside colliery at Newton-le-Willows. I assume they were happy to do this on the proviso it was beneficial to their business. As the idea initially was only about improving rail freight connections around the country, FL are obviously happy to stay put if the numbers don’t add up for them.

Seriously how are other clubs and fans just sitting back while rags just keep spending. The rags are broke yet nothing is said.
Newcastle, villa need to sell players all the time rags keep spending without selling.
Why arent other clubs kicking off over this ? Something is seriously wrong with psr if it allows clubs with huge debt to carry on building debt.

I love the phrase "Ratcliffe has made it clear United are unwilling to accept the asking price" in an apparent reversal of the seller-buyer relationship. I think he means "Ratcliffe won't pay what the land is worth" or "united can't afford to buy it".
Is the most likely reason.

No it's okay.

It's all been painstakingly explained to the masses by those conscientious folk in the British media.

Apparently, it's all about which account the money is coming from.

When Scruffy Jim said "we're broke" he meant the football club is broke. That's why he had to make all those people redundant.

He didn't want to do it. His hands were tied for goodness sake.

No the transfer window is wide open..... business as usual.

Yes! I was confused too initially. However, the rags have got more business accounts than Richard Master's has got skeletons in the closet.

The rags are using a subsidiary account that goes by the name of "Red Football Ltd"

This account is totally legit and brimming with cash. In fact it's so squeaky clean and inconspicuous that not one member of the Premier League. FA, or even our cynical hard-nosed media have had a word to say about it.

what a lack of ambition from Sesko - 10-15 years ago you’d have been slaughtered for joining a side that finished 15th over a side in the champions league. Suppose it’s different now it’s them.
It does tell you a bit about his character. He doesn’t want to play in the CL. That’s a lack of ambition.

Sesko would be getting slaughtered today too if the team that finished 15th wasn't the rags.

This is where the British media have lost all credibility.

This tired old cliche of players being unable to resist the world famous and historic club is bullshit.

Debenham's used to be a giant in the British retail world and look at them now. They're just another dot-com.

If players are clambering over themselves to join this world famous club then why are the rags constantly having to pay over the odds for these apparent starstruck players?

The rags have become the emperor's new clothes and while the media are colluding, the rest of the town folk are laughing at them.
