Now that would be a great deal. They aren’t letting porro though are they

Probably not but we should at least try and sort the RB situation out at the same time if possible and Porro at least knows the club.

Bit far fetched. Did he even play a game for us or even walk through the door at the CFA?

he might want Spurs vs Everton, but does Spurs want him...

Romano said others asked to be informed, I bet they hope Everton makes a shit offer only which wouldnt be too hard to improve for others and then Ctiy left with a shit offer and a slightly less shit offer.

Grealish will not want to go all the way down to London just because his family don’t want to move! It’s Everton or he stays

I know you say you sre not comparing them and that's fine. But David Silva had 194 GA in 436 games for City. Jack had 24 in 95 games.

One has a 44% production rate the other is at 25%. They are not in the same stratosphere. Silva is a great both in reality and on paper. Jack is not.

It seems in the end Jack's highest level was what he had at Villa. He simply couldn't step up once the level went up.

We paid like we were getting a phenom who was a potential superstar in a smaller pond, but his performance suggests he was simply a very good player in a smaller pond who became a role player in a bigger bond.

No biggie. It happens. We keep stepping
.

I didn't mention Silva..

This is the bit I struggle with.
His PL record at Villa was P 96 GS 15.
In the Championship it was P 89 GS 14.

In the PL at City he’s P 61 GS 8.

Now, considering he almost always played 90 minutes for Villa and rarely played 90 minutes for City, his record isn’t any different, so I’m still not sure what people were expecting of him.
I think his ability to keep the ball played a role. The assumption was that he'd fit in seamlessly in a tili taka tight area team and eventually his production will spike in the midst of better players.

The former happened but the latter never materialized. Unfortunately, he was overwhelmed by the step up in his first season. Abd by the time he caught up in the treble season, he just never took that next step. Some players do and others don't.

Mahrez had a similar first season, albeit he was of a higher caliber than Jack. But once he got used to the system, he took the next step and delivered more. Jack simply never took that next step. But because he was a lovable chap we kept hoping for the best.

You might be right that the scouting was rosy eyed

Still blows my mind that people are seemingly annoyed at Grealish's output like he was on 30g+a at Villa when we signed him.

Right or wrong, we wasn't buying him because we needed goals.
Goals and Assists. We bought Grealish, and any other attacking player to keep our goals and goal creation churning. I thought.

You aaked if he had answered the guy who mentioned Silva. I assumed that meant you agreed the guy who mentioned Silva has a point about how the stats didn't show value.

Yes, but then you compared the two players. Absolutely no one is comparing Grealish and Silva (or I at least assume that's not what the poster was doing).

The poster used Silva to show that no all class players have stats that are brilliant. Zidane is another player whose stats weren't out of this world but he was absolutely class.

I'm not comparing Zidane and Grealish by the way before a few posters have a meltdown.
