I am going to assume you don't watch all Liverpool matches. If one singles out just the misses in the 6 yard box, of which there have been several, it is understandable one has that opinion.

The price, media/fan hype in Haaland comparisons and overreaction to him if he didn't score, contributes massively to this. < IF one ignores this bit, because it is meaningless, looks at the all round contribution to the team, goals and missed chances, it will leave one in dismay.

HOW does he score THAT? is met with equal exasperation in HOW does he miss THAT?

Maybe that is just who he is and no one will ever change him. He is certainly not 'shit'. He is also not 'clinical'.
All u ever do is try to justify red scouse scum against wot people are saying.....fed up with ur high and mighty we dont do fook all wrong....

Is he saying it's never their fault?
Is it ever!!!!.............its like its summat they were born with...they always have to justify everything or find an excuse...they dont accept sum1 elses opinion without trying to decry it...as u say as there history tells us everything.....its neva there fault la

Why one earth do you have that response to THAT post?

My opinion on Darwin Nunez and your reply have absolutely no correlation.

What on earth are you talking about? It is difficult to converse with someone that clearly does not understand what I posted. Are you drunk?
I said nothing about Haaland missing sitters. I said comparisons were made wit hHaaland! When he signed.

In other news

Report goes on to say that the Dips are most likely to be targeted which is comical given their penchant for jibbing.
True or not I feel a compo claim brewing on the North coast.

That is where I said about comparisons.

Whilst not directing this criticism towards you, there have historically been a number of LFC supporters who have
" engaged " on the forum and have been complete arseholes and have posted with the sole intention of winding up City supporters.

I suspect this has made some of our supporters suspicious of posters who support liverpool, believing that they will ultimately be provocative and determined to upset the fans on here.

Tbh the choice to ignore or not read posts is always an option, but everybody is different in this respect.

He must be amazing tbf.

He cost £80m and he's being sold after 2 seasons and barely even started in the 2nd one.

3 seasons and we've had a change of manager for the 3rd one. He doesn't suit the slower more controlled style of play.
What he cost doesn't matter, that is between the two clubs, it is not upto the player.
His 2nd season was a marked improvement from his 1st.

I enjoy watching him play. I watch football for enjoyment. He isn't 'amazing' stats wise. Does that mean I should call him names and jump on a hate bandwagon?

He was hardly starting every week in his 2nd season either. He'd be declared a massive flop at most other clubs - sections of the media were declaring him a better signing than Haaland.

The fee doesn't matter? Funny, it usually does to you lot whenever City sign someone, or does it not matter now you've signed -

The world's most expensive goalkeeper (Allison was when signed),
The world's most expensive defender (VVD was when signed),
The countries most expensive midfielder (Wirtz),
& potentially,
The world's most expensive centre forward (Isak)

Why do I have to declare him, a massive flop, if that is not my opinion?

I am not 'you lot' though. I have stated numerous times in this thread that signings are no guarantee of success. IF someone paid £200m, for me, they'd be in for a bloody shock!

I'd have no say in what was paid for me though. That is my point. Have a go at the owners for any perceived waste of money. The player might give everything they have, and come up short, in terms of some peoples expectations. Personally I praise the player for giving it his all.

Your cult made those comparisons when Nunez scored in the community shield. You lot claimed he was miles better than Haaland. Nunez is shit. End of.

This season is going to be a real test for Slot.

Liverpool haven't successfully defended a league title since 1989.

Which in itself is astonishing when you think about their perceived status as a football club within the Uk and across Europe.

It’s longer than that, Arsenal won the league in 89, Liverpool’s last title after that was in 1990. Last time they actually defended it was 1984-85 season, 40 odd years ago. Winning the league recently hasn’t been in their dna, retaining it was generations ago.

It’s 1984 mate, which is over 4 decades ago.
