I see Burnham is openly talking about a Compulsory Purchase Order for the Freightliner land.
Trump and his mob could learn a lot from the rags and their mates.

In fact, the Mafia, the Colombian Cartels, Ted Bundy and that Ozzie woman that killed her family with poisoned mushrooms could learn from these shit house rats.
That Aussie woman could get a job in the kitchen at the swamp

Can't fucking stand Burnham, all PR no substance.

I’d expect it to be
...... and yet, listening to the euphoria and excitement gushing from the media about the game-changing signings that the rags and dippers are making; you'd be forgiven for thinking they could make it into the top four off their own steam.

Burnham is not a part of Trafford Council planning dept. He can suggest things, thats all. Fact is I would wager that the freight depot pays at least as much in business rates to Trafford as MUFC currently do...and if they move to St Helens, that would be a significant loss to the council coffers.

utd fan at work said he was excited about Sesko signing. Turned out he'd never seen him play!
I'd never even heard of him up to a couple of days ago. But I'm guessing he'll be more Wout Weghorst than Erling Haaland.

Apparently they have a ‘Manchester City’s ridiculous spending’ thread on redcafe. Hilarious.
What do you expect from a fan base who have absolutely no self-awareness and even less insight.

Their understanding of irony is on par with your average American.

If spending was synonymous with success then the rags should have won the quadruple at least four times since the pisscan called it a day.

That just goes to show how desperate the rag fans are to hang their hat on whatever hype and bullshit the media are peddling.

What I don't understand is how after twelve years of this cycle of pre-season excitement followed by mid-season despondency can they still fall for it?

Is it delusion or insanity?

Burnham's always been a political lightweight - don't forget he got absolutely hammered by Corbyn when he tried to get the Labour Party leadership.

I think Freightliner are big enough to look after themselves - 'compulsory purchase order' my arse! He's a fuckin' moron.

Talking about self awareness. A red mate messaged me the other day saying wtf you spend £27 on a youngster (Reis) and then loan him out. Absolute ridiculous he said. I then messaged him back saying didn’t United do the same with Amad Diallo. His reply included references to Brexit and that was why they had to do that deal.

Surely Burnhams ridiculous claims about the land value would come under scrutiny in court if they proceed.

You can’t say it’s that valuable that it could create billions in return & 90k jobs but try & buy it for $40m.
A question. If Burnham does get a CPO, that is rate payers money, not rag money being used.
Does Burnham then gift the land to the rags?

I suspect their reckless spending spree is because they know PSR is finished and Masters is toast. Omar Berrada knows City are innocent of the allegations because he was in charge of our sponsorships. Meanwhile Ratcliffe is still in the Cartel loop and FSG, Arsenal, and Levy, know the writing is on the wall. The idea of stopping wealthy investors from investing their money in the PL is a dead concept.
The instigators of psr should abide by it, as other clubs have been forced to do......
