Gvardiol seemed to leave the open training session the other day, maybe had a knock?

Foden seemed to have a long chat with one of the staff on Tuesday - he took a long pause in between training

All this chatter about a bloated squad and we are taking a kid on the first pre-season game to make up the numbers.

There's potential for 2 different 11's there, still think we'll see a preliminary wolves 11 based on what we've got available for 70 minutes though.

Got to get used to being comfortable without Rodri too, hes going to have injuries this season and likely have to have a couple of breaks anyway even if he doesn't, that and accepting he won't be the balon D'or winning Rodri this season either.

He is a very talented kid though. I suspect this is the club showing him that he is part of the plans, to ward off other prestigious clubs will that will circle someone like him.
I alluded to it the other day, that I think we will make use of a lot of the squad across the various competitions in a way that we haven't really done before.

Wasn't knocking the lad, just pointing out it only takes a couple of absentees for the squad to start looking thin.

I really think within the next few years we will see a big shift in the way teams manage their squads. I think Chelsea last season showed a glimpse of it with their cup squad.

The squads will get bigger, at first it might have to be down the chelsea route of leaving youngsters out of certain squads but eventually they'll extend the 25 man squad rule to accomodate. Its the only genuine solution to the increasing schedule as we know the games arent going to stop coming.

Yes, I didn't think you were.
I agree. Scouting networks will broaden. Players will come from all over the world. They will play for sister clubs, sold for profit or included. Rules on permits may need to change.
