I'm happy to give them all the slack they like. Two titles in 35 years.
Come on give them some slack.
3 seasons and we've had a change of manager for the 3rd one. He doesn't suit the slower more controlled style of play.
What he cost doesn't matter, that is between the two clubs, it is not upto the player.
His 2nd season was a marked improvement from his 1st.
I enjoy watching him play. I watch football for enjoyment. He isn't 'amazing' stats wise. Does that mean I should call him names and jump on a hate bandwagon?
I stand corrected. It’s longer than that, Arsenal won the league in 89, Liverpool’s last title after that was in 1990. Last time they actually defended it was 1984-85 season, 40 odd years ago. Winning the league recently hasn’t been in their dna, retaining it was generations ago.
My bad. It’s 1984 mate, which is over 4 decades ago.
You haven't read or understood the conversation.“What he costs doesn’t matter” is a novel argument amongst a fan base who have spent the last decade crying about city’s spending whilst ejaculating over their Net Spend trophy.
I’ve only read the one post of yours and can tell you now either stop being a wum or fuck off.
She makes a good point though Slotter. You haven't read or understood the conversation.
Instead you have taken a few words, out of context, and jumped down my throat. cheers.
It is quite irritating when people pick on a few words without context and then continue to run with it.She makes a good point though Slotter.
You can't have it both ways.
No longer can any self-respecting Liverpool fan bleat on about MCFC's spending when your club has broke the British transfer record.
Now this is going to pose quite the conundrum for you Liverpool fans and those rivals of yours from the Swamp.
The very thing you've been accusing Pep of being (cheque book manager) is no different to Slot.
The difference so far is that Pep and MCFC have got plenty of silverware to show for it and we've smashed so many British records along the way.
As I've mentioned in previous posts; this is a huge season for Slot and LFC.

What I said was that the price has nothing to do with the player themselves.
Whether I enjoy a players on pitch performance, playing style and general attitude has nothing to do with price.
If fans/opposing fans want to take a swing at anyone, for a player not living up to the expectations that they have, they should aim that at the owners/directors/club staff, if they believe a club overpaid for a player.
Whatever the people, including yourself, are going on about in this thread, has no relevance to what I posted.

Btw, did you use to post on here under another name?
Get a mention and like "the shopkeeper" I appear. There a quite a few posters, that are from other clubs fanbases, that post on here. I enjoy that.
No. As I mentioned previously, I lurked for a while, enjoyed reading the general football, particularly about the VAR debate. This thread also had/has a poster, LGWI0 or LGW10, who appeared to be accepted as a Liverpool supporter.
Oh there you are! tolerated, indeed, is a much better word!Get a mention and like "the shopkeeper" I appear.
A Liverpool supporter indeed, although I would never go quite as far as saying that I was "accepted", maybe just about tolerated. That mainly because I accept I am a guest here and don't go on the wind up...much.
As for the current debate. It is going to be so hard to defend the title with everyone strengthening and Liverpool possibly having half the team as newcomers. You look at past winners and there are very few that have won and then brought in so many new players. It is normally a case of adding one or two and moving on the players who are getting past their prime.
The money we have spent is huge but is offset by what has come in, but there is zero guarantee that it will work. It will also count for nothing if we get an injury at Centre Half. Still a week to go before we start another joyous season which means we have another week of nonsense in the media.
What!? You genuinely made me laugh.Hilarious, it’s the same poster with 2 different names.
As you say:Good response thanks but I am dubious that most Liverpool supporters are level headed. I was on holiday in Spain somewhere when the season that Sterling joined City started. I remember three generations of a dipper family screaming and booing at him in a televised match. The other customers in the bar were pretty shocked especially at some of the vile racist crap that the grandmother was coming out with. They were fully indoctrinated cult members.
I have met a few sensible Liverpool fans but they are the exceptions.
I understand your irritation and I've no doubt you have some very rational conversations with your Liverpool chums about the cost and value of your players. It is quite irritating when people pick on a few words without context and then continue to run with it.
