Always the way with ACL injuries. The body over compensates and the risk of other residual strains/pulls is high.

To be honest he rushed back way too quick for that World Club tournament. If he's back in late Sept/Oct that's 12 months post the original injury so more on a normal schedule for that type of injury. An ACL tear is considered a 12 month recovery/recuperation so nothing out of the ordinary tbh. The real question is the rushing him back to play in June tbh.

I know he’s injured and wasn’t in the named squad, but one of the City aggregators reported that he had travelled, although they may have got it wrong.
