If we can't get rid of him permanently, and the best we can hope for is a part subsidised loan to see out his contract, why not just send him to Girona on loan? Helps out Girona and doesnt help out any of our league rivals that are after something for nothing.

Give him and his agent the options, you either get yourself a permanent move otherwise you go on loan to Girona or you sit in the stands at the Etihad.

Maybe you feel better writing it, but you know that won't happen.

For legal reasons, for the way City wants to appear as a top market player and as an employer for future top players.

Phillips wasn't forced that route, for above reasons. People hate that player power, but the truth is: it's exactly that. Like it or not.

He should just ask to go to Palermo... CFG, beautiful women, great nightlife, great beaches, great food, lol Im kidding but not really

So odd how this has all panned out, loved Grealish for us, still think he could do a job but something obviously happened.

I honestly think if Jack had come up with more goals and assists he would still be in Peps plans.
I think it's as simple as that.

Such a shame for jack
I don't think he's done anything wrong.
Just doesn't suit our game.
He was great in the treble season.
I think he's one of them players that need to be the main man in the team.
Like he was at villa
Everything go through him.
The controller.
He was that at villa but not with us.
Personally I think he could be great for us.
As a number ten
A floater.
But pep knows a lot me than I do

He's had more than enough time to be "great" for us. He hasn't managed it. He wasn't great during the treble Season either. He had a good 3 months. Let's not rewrite history.

Seems like Everton and Spurts are reluctant to fully pay his wages. If so walk they should away. Grealish was told end of last season to find another club. If he can't through greedily holding out for the loan club to fully pay his wages I'd bring him back and having him training with our academy lads and watching games from the the main stand. I don't see why we should be expected to subsidise his wages after loaning him out without a loan fee. We aren't a benevolent fund or charity. Time to get tough in player negotiatings I think.

Whilst I’ve never rated him as being good enough for us, and I’d like him to do what you suggest, I just don’t think you can expect him to. We offered him that contract and to give up £100k a week is a big regardless of how rich you are. I wouldn’t blame him for sitting on it.

You mean you don't see why we should pay him the agreed wages over the agreed number of years that we offered him because we have suddenly decided he's surplus to requirements, he is 100% within his rights to expect us to honour that or subsidise it if we want rid of him

Question is you pay him that to play for city. If he turns into a bench player and wants to play somewhere else to get game time then the club doesn’t have to . Do they? He doesnt need to leave.
