The media really do set that club up for disappointment.

I'm actually starting to think that there might be something a little bit sadistic about the media in this country.

They do this every transfer window, where we're told that the rags are getting themselves an £80M player for £40M and then low and behold, that same player leaves the club the following season with absolutely nothing to show.

How many more world-class players can one club possibly sign?

You would think that a team with such a talented array of players could manage to finish as high as 14th in the Premier League.

They remind me of the audience in bullseye, they’ve no chance of winning the top prizes & everyone shouts gamble & they fall for it.

I’ve noticed they’ve started to trot this one out. Happy family atmosphere! Tell that to all the family’s of the workers worzel has sacked! What an absolute load of fucking bollocks! It’s so obvious these new signings are being told want to say. Pathetic
 
They’ll obvs score more goals. They literally can’t be any worse than last season. But the balance of their team is a fucking mess. Bruno will play every minute of every game and they’ve just spent £130 mill on two players in his position. Forcing Amad out to right back aswell. They’ll be involved in a lot of high scoring games

Agree with all that but Amad will play more as a wing back and give them some counter attacking pace which is how Sporting exposed City last season.

All of their new signings are penalty takers so some of their stats won't look so impressive if Fernandes continues to take them.

Also their goalkeeper is shite and it won't be long before Shaw and Martinez are both injured again

Maguire is their best defender. That sums it up.

Agree with that but it wasn’t just sporting that exposed city last season with counter attack pace. It was team who had ANY pace…
