The Making Of John Stones

Well, he got the Balon Dor for a year of top class performances, not just scoring in the CL final.

Surely a City fan understands this?

What an odd thing to say.
Not an odd thing to say. Really stupid actually. Rodri was immense all season and thoroughly deserved the Balon D’or.

They were both excellent that night and I'm sure John was cheering Rodders on to win the best player in the world at the Balon dor ceremony. Rodri deserved it for his overall performances that season.

They were.

John Stones was man of the match but it was irrelevant to the awarding of the Ballon d'Or to Rodri.

I think Stones has always been our best defender, for a spell quite possibly the best CB in the world imo but injuries.

His contract is up next summer, I think? I'd be surprised if the club offered him a new one, given their stance on not offering older players new contracts. Unless he takes a big pay cut, which is unlikely. Can we get one last season where he's fit for the majority of the campaign? It'd be fantastic if we could.
