I'd like to see him stay another season and see how he goes. Plenty of potential there.

If he's the one pushing to leave then sell him. We tend to sell players who no longer want to stay.

If he's not got the confidence or fight to force his way into the team, then it's better he goes elsewhere for an easier ride.

Of course you run the risk of losing an excellent player like Palmer

I cannot help but feel the club will go down the trying to be clever road again, like last season, where they bring in £70m for Savio and another £30m or so for McAtee and will have broken even in the transfer market leaving them to parade the net spend trophy again.
