Rodrygo never once got the numbers in many years that Savinho did in one in La Liga.

He's been dropped by Madrid for a reason. There is also a reason that no one is in for him.

He’s not replacing anyone in our side though and I am tired of us buying squad players. You don’t maintain the levels we have set, when you consistently fail to improve the starting XI when you make signings. We used to target the best, now we target “he can do a job”, or “he’s got so much potential”. It’s happening far too often and IMO a big reason why we don’t look anything like the same team of a few years ago.

I agree he will get more space and opportunities elsewhere but he will have to massively improve his decision-making and finishing to deliver on his potential.

Not his biggest fan but just think it’s a reflection of our transfer planning since Istanbul . All a bit strange and haphazard.

In hindsight, giving the older players long contracts on big wages was clearly a mistake.

Especially as they've all collectively hit a brick wall.

In an ideal world, Gundogan, Kovacic, Grealish and Akanji would have left by now.

So selling/moving on the younger players before them doesn't look good.

Yes. Grealish isn’t foreign so he wouldn’t count unsure on echeverri but pretty sure he would be in b list anyways due to age. (Just checked on echeverri and he would count against the a list so he needs to go on loan really)

Assuming Ortega, echeverri and savinho leave no foreign player would miss out on the champions league squad. We are 3 over the limit as it is.

I don't see where Pep is happy to go into the season if we sell Savinho with Doku and Bobb as his only out right wing options. Grelaish is gone , Echeverri is going out on loan and Savinho looks to be off. I just don't see it.

Cherki and Foden most likely to play on the right as part of a 3 with Marmoush or Doku behind Haaland,Echeverri might then stay with Bobb and Bernardo as the back up.Still leaves 8 players for 4 positions.

Didn’t see this coming. Not sold on savinho but he’s young and I’d expected him to get another year or two with us. Hopefully we don’t live to regret this.

Presumably this means Pep is thinking Foden / cherki/ potentially bobb will take up a lot of minutes on the RW this season.

You can add treble winning Jack Grealish to the list too, whether people like it or not, Jack played the best football of his career at City.

Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahre were both fabulous at City scoring and assisting for fun. Same for Leroy Sane.

Think we challenge for the title with or without Savinho we have a lot of options out on the right and with or without Spence and Gray, I wouldn't mind Gray though think he could become a very good right back for us.

Not for me. Plays a lot of positions because he cannot cement one and didnt play regularly in a poor injury hit Spurs premier league team. Does not improve us at present and we have too many midfielders which is his preferred position. Would rather go for Hinshelwood than Gray and not saying he is the answer either.

For UEFA purposes Echeverri doesn't count for the B list regardless of age, he hasn't been here long enough. It's the A list or just not registered.

Nah, he got 8 league assists and should have had more goals than he got. Not sure the system held him back, however, due to safety first in a few games, he was very isolated (same with Doku)
