Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

I can’t help but feel pep is going to walk after this season. Bernardo, ederson, Gundo, stones contracts all expiring at season end and pep seemingly reluctant to let go of his older trusted players.

I think it’s obvious pep gets the final say on the squad make up. This to me feels very short sighted but throughout his time at city we have pretty much done whatever pep wants (which has clearly worked and kept him at city).

This just feels like one last hurrah with the ageing squad that has given the club, fans and pep so much. I know he signed a two year extension but if pep wanted to walk the club wouldn’t stop him.

Maybe I’m just talking absolute bollocks but I really feel next summer pep will leave, we will have a new manager who is more aligned with viana and the club will have a huge summer replacing gundogan, Bernardo etc.

I saw one thing that he was credited for, but that's it. But I don't follow him closely because of his past record.

The account has been sold. That's what's been rumored. All of sudden the account is getting things right broke nearly all Liverpool transfers then broke the rags exclusive for Baleba. Started getting journalists following the account

I mean we are all ignoring that we will probably get low balled by Spurs and they are no where near our valuation.

I don't think he sees himself playing as much as last season with Bobb back from injury and Cherki signing so wants out to get in Brazil squad for World Cup. Disappointing but we need to release a few and we're stacked in forward positions.

Better than Mahrez? Really?

We really don't know, but at the same age Mahrez was only just about to have his first season playing regular Ligue 2 football. Savinho gets criticism for not scoring, but Riyad didn't score much in Ligue 2 or the Championship, and only got 4 goals in his first PL season. He was four years older than Savinho is now, when he really started scoring more regularly.

Got to say I'm surprised by this one, as he was probably our best winger in the first half of last season, and I was looking forward to seeing him play when the team have a lot more confidence.

I really think between Bobb and Foden/Cherki the right hand side is going to be so much better this year!
And the left? Once Grealish goes, we only have Doku, Marmoush not being a natural wide player. We’re ultimately forcing players out wide (Foden/Bobb/Cherki) to accommodate others in midfield who have no long-term future at the club but who cannot be shifted.

It said a package of up to 50m and then immediately said that city would be looking for more than 50m

The older players are staying because they have contracts. We've been signing players to replace them since January.

Guardiola isn't going to walk before the end of his.

This is one of Bluemoon's most stupid lines and is repeated far too frequently.

We seems so so understanding from what we see in the media! It’s funny some of the other clubs have it in for us won’t entertain selling players to us or say “going nowhere for less than 100m” where we let the narrative grow about one of our players! This we don’t want him to go but! We should say he is not for sale unless the fee is a minimum of around 80m! I’d sell him for the right fee the player knows he won’t get 3000mins this season too!

The lad could become a worldly and him at spurs doing that will be as annoying just from the media point of view who will make the point we sold him!

That’s football and we have better options now than him!

Not for me. Plays a lot of positions because he cannot cement one and didnt play regularly in a poor injury hit Spurs premier league team. Does not improve us at present and we have too many midfielders which is his preferred position. Would rather go for Hinshelwood than Gray and not saying he is the answer either.
Gray did play regularly though, 46 appearances and 3244 minutes, for a player who was 18 for the majority of the season that's impressive. Its more minutes than Savinho played and only 6 City players played more.

He's going to end up better than Mahrez. 80 million MINIMUM from that twat Levy.
That's a big shout.

I understand Savinho is still only 21 and alot of years of development ahead of him so it's hard to say what level he'll hit.

If he becomes anything near Riyad Mahrez he'll be doing well.

Savio for me is best on the left. We now have Marmoush that unless Haaland is injured/suspended will occupy that spot.

On the right he’s not as effective and has competition in Cherki/Foden. Think one of them will play in the right and the other in the middle if we are playing our strongest attacking team. Then you have Bobb.

So it’s between Savio and Doku really. It’s a shame but that’s what happens when you have so many great players.
I hope I am wrong but I think Marmoush could potentially become something of a problem for us. He’s not replacing Haaland up top and he has looked poor out wide. His saving grace over his competition is that he knows where the back of the net is and the others seemingly do not.

The part you aren't getting is the Savinho wants to play every game this season . Has no interest in fighting for his place . Hence he wants to leave .

Yeah agree with this pep won’t want to stick around with no Silva! Also I feel if pep is going to leave it’s better for that when he has a year left so stop all the speculation for a 6 months
