Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

He's great on the ball but he is greedy. I've lost count the amount of times he could have got his head up and passed it to someone in space, he must be frustrating to play with.
But I like the kid and think when he eventually matures a bit and settles down he'll be a fantastic acquisition for someone.

Bajkowski saying that we wouldn’t entertain offers below £50m but if he were to push for a move they’d have to consider it

To be honest, I’d have no problems with attacking players being greedy if they were banging in the goals.

Spuds will give him the preferred left-wing position that Guardiola didn’t, and he’ll turn into a world-beater just like Palmer. ;)

£90m are you high. hes scored 1 goal in the premier league.
He also had 8 assists which was the most on the team last season. I don't think he's necessarily worth that much, I said City shouldn't sell unless an offer like that comes in. You can't just write players off immediately especially when the season before they were one of the best players in a massively competitive league like LaLiga.

He was our best player during the Club World Cup. Give him another season and see how it goes, otherwise only sell now if it's a huge number that is higher than he's worth. He'll still be worth £50-60m after next season even if he performs at a similar level.

One season he scored 9 goals in a completely different league? And that's "loads" of goals?
Maybe I overstated it, but scoring 9 goals for a pure winger at the age of 19-20 in LaLiga is a big number. He's shown he has goals in his bag and was our top assist man in his season with City. He's a dangerous player who we need to give more time to.

Might be why he wants to go he will play every game. World Cup year , place in the Brazil squad.

Right that's Khus, Reis, Bobb, O Reilly, Rico, Nico, Trafford, Doku, Cherki done then.

Nothing for the future at all, that'll work.
You can add Savinho (if he doesnt go), Mcatee (same), Trafford and Echeverri to that list

That's far too many at the "promising" stage of their careers, if we want to challenge for the league. Compare that to us just a short few years ago. Or to Liverpool of today.

Savinho is potentially a very good player but he didn't produce the goal involvements required last season. Set against that, it was his first season and City were struggling. His quality is obvious but City do have a lot of attacking potential in our squad. If Spurs offer around £40m, I think City might sell Savinho. I know SSN have quoted £50m but I think City might sell for less.

It should be £50m at the bare minimum and that’s only if he’s pushing for a move.

His salary demands might be a potential stumbling block.

Certainly something you have to earn with your play. It isn't something Pep can bestow on you.

Absolutely. A very important player after 1 goal last season. If he had anything about him he'd stay and earn being a very important player. The likes of Bern and Gundo have worked over time - IF Savio thinks this way he might as well go

I mean the fact he wants to go to Spurs should say enough for the people wanting to keep him.
Why?
The club has probably said: ‘Sorry, but due to overbooking we’re going to offload you. Staying would mean we have to reduce your playing time and think that might seriously affect your chances of making next year’s World Cup squad. As such, we’re not going to stand in your way if someone comes in for you; talking of which, we’ve already spoken to Tottenham and said you might be interested. We just happened to mention your name when we were talking about Ake, Stones, Akanji, Gundogan, and Kovacic. That’s right, the guys with all the loyalty points up in business. You only collected 3,000 last year, pity. Don’t worry, we’ll let Bluemoon know that you ‘demanded playing time’ and ‘weren’t prepared to stay and fight for your place’. Need help packing?’
