Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

Sorry, but you are inferring that. I’m quite sure that the original poster is aware that we don’t have a side of players aged over 30.

We didn’t sell de Bruyne, did we?. He left because we would not offer him a new contract, ditto Carson. They would still be around if not. In much the same way, if Gundogan, Kovacic, Ake, Akanji, and Stones had been out of contract this summer, I doubt we’d have renewed any of them. The club wanted loyalty and sacrifice from those players and got it, and now the players are understandably wanting their payback. Is it best for the development of the club? Probably not.

I always said the rebuild would take 2-3 seasons, so in that regard I’m realistic. It might even take longer.
Inferring that we are in the midst of that process? I am, of course, because none of us really know. That is, I suppose, the basic tenet of my post - people are getting carried away on the emotion of a potential sale rumoured on Twitter. It is causing such ire that posters are complaining about the squad, about Viana, and about last season, when it is just a social media post. We just have to trust that there is a process.

Regarding DeBruyne, I don't even know. I just use the word sale when we choose for a player to leave.
I suspect he was always the most likely of the older players as his talents were so unique.

I’m speculating on next season, based off what’s happened in the past. Khusanov was playing great and in form. When Akanji was fit, he wasn’t just dropped from the 11, there was times he was dropped from the squad.

Both are still around…
I wasn't really happy with the treatment of Khusanov either, but I also don't think that he was brought in to be an immediate fixture. I suspect that time with the squad, and in the training sessions, has now brought him to a place where he will be a fairly regular feature. We don't know that, but it is encouraging to hear Pep speaking so positively about him.

The cup final summed savinho up for me, did the sum part of fuck all except wave his arms around, 70 million would be an incredible deal
Apart from Dr Max Sala, I think that applies to every player and member of management on the day. That figure would make him Spurs’ record signing, so it won’t be that.

He also had 8 assists which was the most on the team last season. I don't think he's necessarily worth that much, I said City shouldn't sell unless an offer like that comes in. You can't just write players off immediately especially when the season before they were one of the best players in a massively competitive league like LaLiga.

He was our best player during the Club World Cup. Give him another season and see how it goes, otherwise only sell now if it's a huge number that is higher than he's worth. He'll still be worth £50-60m after next season even if he performs at a similar level.

Maybe I overstated it, but scoring 9 goals for a pure winger at the age of 19-20 in LaLiga is a big number. He's shown he has goals in his bag and was our top assist man in his season with City. He's a dangerous player who we need to give more time to.
United want £50m for Garnacho and you cant with a straight face say Savinho has shown anything higher than what that lad has done.

I find it hard to say Bobb is better than Savinho, hes barely had any senior football whereas Savinho has shown a fair a amount of class

Savinhos season at Girona alone is above anything weve seen from Bobb

I want to keep both, think both areola talents but of the 2 Savinho is further along his development
I'm on with that view but to judge and criticise a player for a lack of goals after being injured for a full season is prime dickhead logic, we dont half attract some clowns
I've seen enough of savinho to suggest his end product is as weak as piss, he can beat a man with ease but you need both and I think bobb could be the real deal.

I think he might have something but 1 league goal(against a relegated team) is pathetic

It might be 1 year too early but anything north of 60mil then I’d be biting thier arm off at the shoulder. But I would keep if bids stay around 45

I’d sell Doku before I sold him but no one wants Doku, yet, so it’s not a choice we have

I knew his shooting was bad but that is fucking abysmal. I’m surprised there’s not a huge line of PL defenders with fucked shins with him and Grealish knocking fuck out of them every week.

Approx. 25% of those “shots” were against Spurs and Franks Brentford, it makes you wonder why they’re even interested.
That 1v1 against Palermo miss was the perfect example of his time at City.

As has already been noted - but a picture paints a thousand words - the attempted assist celebration on Saturday says he's 100% offsky (shirt spelling a little off too for our number 4)
