none of you moaners will ever get close to doing something like this.
David Silva didn’t do this
So he is shit or something like that

A great player badly treated and mis/under used by Pep. Best of luck Jack.
I don't know any of us have the right to say he's been mistreated, none of us know what the full story is between Pep and Jack over the last year.

Strange you are putting all the blame on Pep when I'm reality fuck knows what happened. Pep obviously has his reasons. It's a shame things have ended in this manner, that's football.

Hope he does well for them and enjoys his football. Unfairly smashed by the media and other fans because of a price tag which was pushed on him by villa, not us, and all these comments about Pep stifling his natural ability are just moronic. There's no doubting he is a breath of fresh air in this world of robotic footballers, but to pair that with city's football is boring and therefore we made him worse, is just lazy and untrue. The fact is that he wasn't contributing enough in our system, despite trying, despite everyone willing it on, it just didn't happen often enough. But when it did, top drawer. Add to that the shithousery and he's earning himself a place alongside coffee cup Bernie in all time berting.

Something changed in Jack after that break in at his home. I think it really unsettled him, having his family exposed to such an awful situation which could have been even worse. So a bit odd then that he's moving to Merseyside! Seriously speaking, I think dropping out of the England squad has been the factor here, especially when you see how well he has actually played when called upon and some of the dross selected ahead of him for England.

Hope Everton get somewhere too this season. If they pick up points in their derby and Jack contributes, then fantastic for all.

Good fucking god there are some ungrateful fuckers on here.

I loved Grealish so much and I will miss him a lot. I absolutely refuse to acknowledge the opinion of anyone who calls him a flop. You can argue he didn't always show the best of his ability at City, but never a flop. He's arguably the most misunderstood Premier League player, definitely the most mischaracterised, and therefore one of the most underrated - even by a lot of City fans.

He made us better. He gave us balance, control, and knew exactly what his role was. Haaland, Ake, Gundogan, De Bruyne, and Rodri all hit the best form of their lives (up to the 22/23 season) with Jack out there on the wing. We absolutely do not win the treble without him and we don't win the 21/22 and 23/24 titles either.

You'll see it said loads now, lots of people expecting "the real Jack Grealish" to suddenly "return". The "real Jack Grealish" has never existed. He's had 10 seasons in the top two tiers of English football and has never produced more than 20 G/A because that's not, and has never been, his game.

He's a ball carrier, a phenomenally hard worker, a willing servant, and an organiser. Basically a facilitator. He's the guy out there whose job it is to provide space for everyone else. He made everyone else better just by being out there, knuckling down, and doing his quietly vital job.

When people say "Grealish was only good at City for 6 months" I have to bite my lip pretty fucking hard. He was GOOD during the 21/22 and 23/24 seasons, but he was out of this fucking world in the 22/23 season. The football he was playing then, and the role he performed, is something City still haven't replaced.

All at once he was linking up with Haaland and De Bruyne, providing space for Gundogan and Rodri, and protecting Ake in defence. He worked like a dog for Pep down that left side and still chipped in with absolutely massive contributions in huge games against Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, and United.

Sadly I don't think he has the application and attitude away from the pitch to stay as fit as he needs to. He's very injury prone now. I think he pushed his body to its limits to get that treble in 2023 and he hasn't been able to push himself any further - and a lot of this looks to be his own fault.

It's the right time to move him on. But like fuck will I ever entertain the idea he's a flop. He made 157 apps for City during a time when we won 3x PL titles, the FA Cup, the Community Shield, Club World Cup and Super Cup, and the fucking actual European Cup. The haters, as always, can suck a fat one.

City have been around for 130 years and in that time only 25 of our players have ever started a European final. Grealish is one of only 11 players in City's whole history to start a European Cup final and win it, yet there are still people saying with their whole chests that he flopped. Get fucked.

If you've followed City for any longer than 20 years you should be on your knees kissing the ground Grealish walks on. The guy made us immortal by being *right there* for the best 4-6 weeks that any of us will *ever* have as football fans. Sometimes I wonder why people bother watching football.

Grealish was at Villa from the age of six but he immediately took Manchester and our fans to his heart. He gave as much as he could for us on that pitch, gave us literally everything a football fan dreams of, and was part of the ONLY English team to win four titles in a row - and you still have City fans desperate to call him a flop.

I remember during his first season, people were comparing him to Rodney Marsh, saying he was an unnecessary signing that would derail the title challenge a la 1972. Those calls went pretty fucking quiet when Jack ended up being part of the starting XI for the most successful and decorated era in City's entire history.

Yep, he cost £100m. If I could go back in time and pay £101m, or even a billion, knowing what was to come and what Jack would be part of, I'd do it all again. Ten times over. We will never again see times like the times we had while Jack was here, contributing as much as the next man.

We have some horribly ungrateful sods in this fanbase. As you read this, they're frothing at the mouth and typing their furious replies. A City player who won a European Cup - who won the treble while starting every single game - and there are people actually celebrating his departure and offering up no happy memories.

Miserable, miserable twats.

Really like the man, but some of you are so embarrassing the excuses you make for him.

Currently isn’t good enough for us, that’s all that matters. If he kept his treble form up, he’d still be here and that’s on him.

Thanks for the good times, that is all that needs to be said.

Phillips has been a flop, Grealish hasn't. On the whole I think Jack has been underwhelming but many blues will disagree which I have no problem with.

Like most of us, Jack has his demons. As a professional athlete, he's played for God's own, won everything there is and has the financial side of his life sorted. All the best at the Toffees, Jack.

Jack couldn’t lace Merlin’s boots
City fans really wanted Jack to succeed, there was an awful lot of good will towards him, still is. But to have one good half a season in four years isn't the best. Fans can make all the excuses in the world for him but I believe he himself just didn't believe he was quite good enough to play for City and that was his biggest issue as he has a lot of talent.
