It's Quiet the £250m return

So until this week Savinho didnt know he wanted to leave and Thomas Frank didn't know he wanted him?

If he goes its because he's been pushed out for the squad places we've mismanaged or to make room for Rodrygo.
Maddison injury as a lot to do with this from spurs

Probably got in Savihno ears and he is up for it

If they pay right price then he goes

What is more probable is that his name cropped up in negotiations/ discussions with Spurs about McAtee.
Yeah and what seems most probable is Levy said "I notice you're a player over squad limits and can't seem to sell anyone" which is why I'm saying it just feels a bit like poor planning.

And all the posts saying "you can only sell who wants to leave" seem to back that up.

Did we not know that Akanji would be here when we bought Khusanov, Reis and Bah?

Bloody hell you're wasted on here when you have so much forsight !

I'm not sure it takes the greatest DoF on Earth to see another club has 30+ players or you don't actually need 6/7/8 CBs in a 25 man squad.

It clearly hasn't occurred to the City management then.

Perhaps players having contracts and a say in where they go has to be taken into account ?

No I get that, but the same applies to Bernardo, Ederson.

We've kept players who've agreed terms with other clubs. You just set a price they won't pay.

If we sanction a sale for Savinho at way below market value (elanga, madueke) it's because either we're getting Rodrygo (maybe better maybe worse long term) or simply because we've failed to move on Akanji or Gundo (whoever we thought would go) and that's not to say they're not club legends but so was KDB and he ain't here.
I don't think we really overvalued Bernardo or Ederson though to price them out of the market. It's just that the clubs interested didn't want to (or couldn't afford to) pay the fee.

Difficult to say what the fee for Savinho should be as he hasn't been here that long and he hasn't yet reached the heights that he did at Girona. I'd have thought 60M would be a fair price overall but I could understand some that may think that price is too low and I could also understand why some clubs might not be willing to pay so much.

I don't think we're moving him on because we have been able to get shut of other players though. If we really wanted to keep him, then I'm sure we'd find a way. I don't believe that we are pushing him out of the door. I suspect he's more likely to be the one that is pushing for the move. That is only my conjecture though from reading between the lines of the reports.

Not sure on the Rodrygo front. I would be quite happy with him or Savinho (or neither to be honest). I'm not totally convinced by either but both are clearly able players with plenty of room to develop.

Yeah I guess they forgot all about all the players having contracts when they signed Khusanov, Gonzalez and Reis?

And obviously Grealish was somehow immune from that.

Shortlist of three. Trafford interest is legit and it’s got nothing to do with trying to make Newcastle sell Livramento like some are suggesting.

Trafford is the one that the club feel will be easiest. And key figures at the club rate him very highly.

Ortega more likely to stay then Ederson. By the sounds of it. However ‘the goalkeeper situation is being monitored’ was the message weeks ago.

I wouldn’t be shocked if both left.
Same as before.

Either could leave if the right offer comes.

Ederson still wants a new challenge. He is still open to leaving. Despite what’s recently reported I wouldn’t be banking on him remaining. The club don’t want that but Ederson is open to a move.

Can’t say I’m shocked at some of the latest coming out.

Especially where Ederson is concerned.

Savhnio is a huge shock as he’s was never mentioned ever!

That does seem to pretty balanced mate.

I'm a big believer in Savio's potential, for me it'd be the worst sale we've made since the takeover.

His value has been dragged down by a shooting percentage so low it'd be hard to reproduce. He actually shoots more on target statistically than Rodrygo, not that you'd know it.

I understand how the 6 works & its importance, but how can Nico G prove he can be trusted if he isn't playing?

Reijnders would perform the 8 in the same way that Gundo has in the past - as Pep has used Reijnders as a 6, and as box to box so far (as well as further forward), he must be of the opinion that he can still be of value in those roles. Us being wide open wouldn't depend on Reijnders moving forwards from that position - it would depend on the set up, selection & positioning of other players (eg how are the fullbacks set up, is a winger inverting etc), so it's a bit disingenuous to state that.
I guess he needs to show it in training. He's not getting starts because Pep is seeing somebody better in that role in training sessions. Every time he's got onto the pitch hes looked lost in that role. He actually seems better suited as an 8 which isnt what we need from him. Pep isnt going to throw in somebody in the 6 role to learn on the job unless he is all out of options.

Reijnders can play different roles but so far, he's shown the advanced role to be his most suited so I expect that to be where he starts. Thats not to say it will always be his role but i reckon it will be for now. We're working with a midfield thats not up to full strength right now, it's lacking in protection without a real 6 and we've got attacking fullbacks, so we need that extra protection from the midfield. I expect bernardo, gundo and reijnders to be our midfield 3 for Wolves.

Don't be a stat nonce mate. Bernardo's numbers looked awful for seasons when he was clearly brilliant. You've got to watch the actual football, not just wank over numbers. There's watching and there's actually seeing - big difference. And Rodrygo only 24, hasn't even hit his prime yet. Already proven at the top level with Real and Brazil. And cl.
I think we'll have to agree to disagree because I don't think I'd ever describe myself as a stat nonce mate but the main reason girona a midtable laliga side got in the champions league was because of Savinho a 19/20 year old who in his 1st season in laliga had games where he was unplayable. I was expecting big things from him last season but he was average so do we get rid of him ? what about phil get rid? we'd need a new starting 11

What is going on?
Salvinho to Spurs?
Ederson to Galatasaray?
MacAtee to Forest?
Grealish on loan at Everton.
City still with millions left for new players.
And still no proper right back?

Every time is a gross exaggeration considering Pep called him mini-Rodri after his performance at 6 against Newcastle, with Gundogan operating slightly forward and Lewis inverting. If Nico isnt trusted in that role, to that extent that Pep won't play him in a match - not training - then why is he apparently part of our plans and not loaned or sold?

Pep may well pick that 3 against Wolves but Gundogan & Bernardo as our sitting midfielders in Rodri's absence is a pretty poor situation to be in.

They were all average last season, including the management.

You'll have to wait 8 years for a right back and learn to love Matteus!

No one said you'd have it easy as a City fan!

He's not being pushed out though.
