It's Quiet the £250m return

I know they are trying to sort out the Isak mess but the fact Livramento hasn't signed a new deal yet bearing in mind they said he would makes me think its still being discussed.

What is going on?
Salvinho to Spurs?
Ederson to Galatasaray?
MacAtee to Forest?
Grealish on loan at Everton.
City still with millions left for new players.
And still no proper right back?

Business as usual….

I don’t for one minute think City expected to end the window with all 3 of Bernie, Gundo and Kova still at the club. Safe to say Bernie going nowhere, so it still wouldn’t surprise me if one of the other 2 left before it slams shut. Kova is back training, and even if not fully fit it wouldn’t stop a loan or sale taking place, it was only minor surgery rather than a huge injury. That said, I still think it’ll be Gundo who will leave.
Kovacic had the op. right at the end of the season and is still recovering.

Get ready - as we speak The Tragic Twat/Nick Harris will be preparing a 35 consecutive tweet missive on why this all indicates City are guilty and about to relegated to the Chesman Sunday League

I did say 8 CBs, the lack of full backs is a different glaring issue.
But that ignores the fact our central defenders play elsewhere, often, we won the treble with 4 central defenders making up the back 4. If Pep chooses to prefer central defenders over conventional fullbacks then there is obviously going to be more centre backs in the squad than most. The important stat is, the number of defenders we have available to us is now in line with what you expect a squad of 25 to have and not the shortfall we went into last season with.

big period ahead of Hugo Viana. he started to move on the outgoings this week with deal closed with Grealish, soon McAtee, still taking bit too long on deciding on loan for Echeverri, Nypan, would have been better to let them have 2-3 weeks pre season with their next club.
potential extra moves like Savinho, Ederson.
to pull off big transfers like Donnarumma, Rodrygo some clever negotiation needed on the fee and the salary too.

rivals dont slow down either, Chelsea looking to add Garnacho, a new CB, Xavi Simons too?
Arsenal Eze?
Dippers ffs still about to add Guehi and Isak?
rags new GK, Baleba?

matchday coming up, Pep has to select 20 players for Wolves trip, we are quite above that currently.

I don't disagree entirely but if we end up with only 6 attackers for 4 places and Savinho leaving so we can have all of Akanji, Ake, Stones as our 4/5/6th choices at CB or 3/4th choice full backs I'd think that was a poor distribution of resources.

So until this week Savinho didnt know he wanted to leave and Thomas Frank didn't know he wanted him?

If he goes its because he's been pushed out for the squad places we've mismanaged or to make room for Rodrygo.

Agents and players spend all summer on their phones. No way this talk happens without the player agreeing to it
Probably seeing the $$$$ from a big move, while knowing his place is under threat

That does seem to pretty balanced mate.

I'm a big believer in Savio's potential, for me it'd be the worst sale we've made since the takeover.

His value has been dragged down by a shooting percentage so low it'd be hard to reproduce. He actually shoots more on target statistically than Rodrygo, not that you'd know it.

Savio was a massive disappointment for me, flatters to deceive & can’t shoot.

I'm not saying he hasn't agreed to it, I'm saying we don't have to set such a low price.

I still think if our squad places were open we'd have quoted them a price they're never going to pay. Like we did Bernardo and Ederson.

We'll see what happens. Maybe we have. Maybe he goes and Rodrygo comes in (bit of a waste but possibly better). Or maybe he goes we, don't have enough attackers and Akanki, Gundogan and kovacic take the last squad places (not ideal).
