It's Quiet the £250m return

Something feels off about these links.

My best guess would be that both Ederson and Savinho stay, we don’t bring anyone else in and just offload the likes of McAtee, Ortega (both sold) and Echeverri on loan.
We'd still need to move 1. As for the other 2 Savinho/ Rodrygo feels more likely to me than Edderson/ Dunnarumma and makes a bit more sense, to me anyway.

We have too many players and some of those players young or not are not good enough.

Savio is not good enough for now. Who knows how it will pan out for him but if he started for city this season we would see poor work ethic covering the RB. We would see plenty of dribbling but not an accurate pass and we would see wild shooting. He either ain’t ready or ain’t good enough for now.

Eddie has wanted to leave for while. Thats fine, his heart ain’t in it anymore. You can see he is done mentally. All those one v one goal maybe causing a mental issue.

As for goalkeepers using their feet. We won’t be able to replace Eddie. Nothing we can do bout that, he is a freak in that regard.

The fucking about around the box is no good to us. We need someone who can stop a goal on counter so getting Dona in now would be a big coup.

Rico to go and Mcatee will hopefully see a RB.

What’s not to like? Change was demanded and change is coming.

We have started to do both? Pass out from the back when possible but as we saw last season many times, we went long as well.
Yeah what point are you making?

We’re still going to need a goalkeeper to play it out from the back, that will still happen.

Feels like there's been a switch in how we do transfers. We are moving on project players and bringing in established players like Rodrygo and Donnarumma.
Don't think we've ever been averse to established players in the Pep era.
Mahrez, Walker and Grealish were definitely established.
We clearly tried to sign the likes of Sanchez Koulibaly and Jorginho.
Gundogan and Bravo were pretty established.

We've allowed project players like Alvarez, Sane and Torres to move on when they wanted.

If these moves go ahead it will be a bigger turnover than we are used to though.

Time the club flexed its muscle. All well and good buying maybe world class.

Once world class actually become available, go get them. Still would prefer isak.

Except we haven’t brought in Rodrygo or Donnarumma yet have we?

Tbf though bar Haaland, in Peps era we haven’t signed world superstars like Donnaruma or Rodrygo.

This is like Garry Cook is back.

I think the problem is that Spurs and Gala won’t pay what we want for Savinho and Ederson, so we’ll be happy to keep them.

The links to Rodrygo and Donnarumma feel entirely agent driven through Romano.

To be fair , I did see a few Sporting accounts say Viana is like a kid in a sweetshop. He loves a big transfer. Gyokeres was given as an example, broke Sportings transfer record while he was there Viana.

Yeah, all the rumours about Ederson came from Turkey and all the rumours about Donnarumma came from France. Nothing on City's side to suggest any of these deals were happening. Even the Rico Lewis to Forest thing felt dodgy.

Savinho may go to Spurs if we get £50m for him, and at that point we may make moves for Rodrygo, but beyond that I think we're just gonna be focusing on loans away and getting as much money as we can for McAtee.

Agreed! Maybe its been seen that to keep up with Liverpool we have to sign ready world stars instead of alot of young ones who MIGHT make it? We actually have both if we sign Rodrygo and Donnarumma into the squad we already have.

I'm not actually sure that Rodrygo is a world superstar , I think part of his beef is that he is eternal back up to the stars in the Madrid team.
I think the likes of Sanchez Bellingham and Messi who we tried to sign are as big stars.
