No Premier League matches to be played abroad

Says Richard Masters.

So I think it’s odds on that will be coming soon and City will be playing Liverpool in somewhere like Las Vegas at 3 o’clock on a Sunday morning in the middle of January.

What does everybody think?
Hope its one of the gaueanteed refund games on ticket exchange if it does happen and we are deemed the home team.

That would be reassuring if it came from anybody other than this fucking buffoon

He won’t be there for much longer anyway, so his thoughts are pretty irrelevant

They won't move it while the shield gets good attendances.
It doesn’t when we play in it.

Ignoring the games at Villa and Leicester, when we play in them the attendances drop, sometimes, plummet.

It’s the ONLY game I wouldn’t mind being played abroad. The expense for our mainly North West England support to have another trip to Wembley is always an issue.

If City lose the big case these red clubs and Chelsea owned by yanks will take the PL to America

They will try and punish us in a way we cannot stop it

They will start the propaganda that the Spanish clubs are getting more money by playing over there and how can we compete
Look at the numbers. The PL out scores La Liga in income by a mile. We have no need to take games abroad.

It's gonna happen and it won't be just one game. I'm a NFL fan and love heading to London to watch one of the 3 games every year when it comes over. This year it's expanded even more and there are games in Ireland, Spain and Germany as well. As most clubs only get 8 or 9 home games a season, that's a big loss if your team heads abroad.

It happens in Rugby League now to a certain extent with the Super Weekend (and I think a team went to Vegas this year)

If 14 US Owners own PL teams this year, then soon after a whole selection of games will head to the States. Wouldn't surprise me to see a whole weekend of fixtures spread across the whole of the USA and using the East coast and west coast timezones to ensure only 1 PL match at a time is being played.

I would hate it if we lost a home game, especially if it was against the dippers, rags or tarquins, but that also makes me a bit of a hypocrite as I love the London NFL games.

It's coming, will fans band together to stop it ?

If they were to do it they should pick the community shield game.
Can't begin to tell you how much that would affect our UK support outside Manc. I've lost count of the people I've met at Wembley from the South who attend as it's one of the few tickets they can get hold of and if from the South coast, travel to.
