Probably.
He even admits it himself.

Jimmi Hill or Bryan Moor?Is it true he could flick his boots over his head onto the peg behind him
We were cruising the league until he signed, loved watching him play though, great entertainerHe did..

Jimmy Hill looked like Guy Fawkes in those days hahaGreat memories as a kid bring glued to the TV watching The Big Match. Jimmy Hill’s wardrobe was immense!
So's Lee Bradbury. Not all our history is particularly glorious.Doesn't matter what you think of him he's part of City's history
Why didn’t you?You know how to use Google yes? So look it up prick
The snowman or the tiger? It's easy to post a wrong name, I'm with Frosty.
Sounds like something you say when you’re sick of being asked tbh.Yep. No "probably" about it. He definitely cost us the league. He even says so himself....

I don’t know where they got the ‘replaced Wyn Davies’ from. Davies started in the first eight (out of nine) League matches for City after Marsh signed. It was Tony Towers who was initially replaced by Marsh.Yep. No "probably" about it. He definitely cost us the league. He even says so himself....

Yes, while still wearing them.Is it true he could flick his boots over his head onto the peg behind him
In truth he didn't cost us the league. We bought him, we tried unsuccessfully, to change our style to accommodate him, we failed. Was always a bit unsure why he got the blame.
Care to explain Malcolm?
What's that you can't cos your dead!
Fair enough.
We'll never know.

Spot-on. Gordon Banks cost us the league with a miraculous display when we lost at home to Stoke. The other key moment in the run-in was a diabolical referee away at Ipswich where we also lost 2-1. We finished fourth but only one point behind the winners Derby County. I believe we had the best team that year but fell at the final hurdle. Rodney Marsh destroyed United at the swamp during that run-in but no one mentions that.I saw him play, pretty much from first to last. It is time to lay this myth that has had a ghoulish existence for decades to rest. One man does not cost you the league. If it were the case, it would be a pretty poor team around him. Such was not the case. Far from it.
Without straying into the tedious “you can’t say anything with these snowflakes around these days” shite, often peddled by idiots, that joke just wasn’t particularly offensive. Unless you are David Beckham, who has probably faced a lot worse in his time. His time at the club slightly predated my support of City so I never saw him live, but not overly impressed with what I’ve seen on camera. Looked cumbersome and slow to me. Great first touch though. And another big City character.
The way he was hounded out of broadcasting, because of one off-the-cuff, ill-judged comment was an absolute fucking disgrace.
