Will we win the league this season?

No one knows. Anyone saying we re dead certs to win the PL are dreamers. Anyone saying we cant win it are flappers who panic at everything in life. Once the season kicks off we will see.

But its the same every single year, you cant accurately predict which squad will turn on the magic. The fact Pep has done it year after year has been amazing.
Same was said about livarpool last year they didn’t sign anyone every one saying they had no change look what happened no one nos

I can see us scoring plenty of goals, as we have so many attacking options ... the problems may come if we continue to concede lots of daft goals, like we did last season ?

The BBC prem show last night had the pundits having us 3rd which as of today is probably about right. Still time in the transfer window though.
If I was forced to make a solid prediction (I have maintained all Summer that I haven’t got a clue what we are anymore)… I’d guess at about the same: a distant, but much less distant than last season, third.

We got just 71 points last season, 13 points behind the winners. So maybe around 83 points for us this coming season (25-8-5 record compared to 21-8-9 from last season) but with Liverpool going for 90-92 points to win the league and Arsenal to also make a similar jump to us and ending up on ~86 points. As much as I think we’ll be much better than last season, I think both of them will be better this season n’all.

With promoted teams not being great and Brentford losing Frank and Bournemouth losing both of their really good centre backs, I think there are a lot of points to win home+away for the better sides compared to last season where Bournemouth and Brentford was a tough place to go and we dropped points to Spurs and United who only just stayed up!

So 7-9 points behind the winners with a big points increase on last season.

Plus a record fourth straight FA Cup final and, this time, winning it.

I don’t really care if we win it or not. What I want to see is a change in tactics that recognises why we have been pretty boring in the last two or three years.
I want Pep to develop a new City that is exciting to watch. It’s not as though we desperately need trophies— we’ve collected a few in Pep’s time.
I want to replicate the excitement of Sane, Mahrez, peak Sterling, Sergio, Silva etc etc. It’s not much to ask! It will take a while but Cherki, Reinjnders, Ait Nouri, O’Reilly, a renewed Phil, Bobb and others have the ability to deliver.
A faster tempo and a more varied passing game are essential.
C’mon City.

This. A million times this.

I think the fact that pretty much ever single pundit in both this poll and a similar one sky did shows the conscious and unconscious bias that exists in the media. Apart from a small number of people (who mainly have links to city), all of them are happy to rule out the most successful team in modern times just because of one poor season, even though we have strengthened with world class players. I'm not saying that will guarantee us any success, but for them all to totally exclude us is bizarre

I might be missing something, but we're in the top 4 of every single pundit on that link

Sheep.

Only a fool or a scouser (No capital for the bin dippers), same thing I guess, would write off City with Pep at the helm. Last season was a transitional period and this season may turn out similar but if there's one team I randomly expect to go for a 90-100 point season its Pep's City.

No rush, be within 6 or 7 points after Christmas then kick on. Will take a few weeks to get going properly.
One thing is for sure, if City are leading come christmas thats one team that doesnt get caught. My team have fucked it constantly and I think Liverpool have been caught before?
