Not for me, HG, very versatile squad player - had a poor season and his current value will be nowhere near a true reflection of his ability. He started at Lb for England not long ago and didn’t look out of place at all.

With Bernardo, Gundo and, more than likely, Kovacic off next summer, a place in midfield is his for the taking.

Why would be open to allowing him to leave? There's no benefit to it other than money and we aren't desperate for money. It just gives us a smaller squad for the season and we saw how that went last year. Makes zero sense. I call bullshit.

Unless we have someone lined up that would effectively keep him out of match day squads this doesn’t make sense to me. He covers a number of positions, including one we can’t seem to fill, is excellent receiving the ball and is homegrown so doesn’t take a squad spot. Perhaps it’s just simply because of his contract running out
