Rico Lewis | Set to sign a new 5-year contract (pg33)

Your saying we should praise him for what he has done for us like what? No defensive awareness and costing us numerous goals, championship player at best. Id be pleased if he went tonight.
Actually watching his body language he believes he is better than he is. There is a player in there, but a squad player at best at the minute. Down to attitude, thinks he is a star.

Not a fan of Rico and don’t think he is good enough for us

But whatever we may think of him he is a blue and always gave his all for us

forest Doubling his wages will make his head turn on top of that more game time possibility of getting the England squad.. he is way further ahead than Mcatee in premier experience so for me £40m minimum when you look at other players going for more!

Imagine being a City fan, living through one of the greatest periods any side has ever had in the history of football and having this opinion about one of our players.

The sense on entitlement is off the scale. To actually state that he should receive no praise, simply criticism when he came through our academy, was placed in an unfamiliar position at RB and played a role in our recent success is crazy to me.

Any chance this is either fake news just a bid and we not interested in selling or it’s a loan ?

It just doesn’t make sense

No, it's come from Romano so it's legit.

What doesn't make sense about it?

He is hardly a key component of the team, whatever the fee is pure profit for PSR enabling us to spend more money and if his heads been turned by more wages and a starting spot at Forest then Pep will never stand in his way.

He turned out season around in the treble season. Pep binned off cancelo for this guy and walker couldn't get a sniff for a while. People have short memories!

Rico lacks the physicality to excel in defence, but it does question why we would we sell him and end up with Nunes as the only RB in our team.

Well said mate!

The attitude to a 20 year old Blue from our Academy who has come into a struggling side, has played a frequently complex role in the team, has never hidden or shirked responsibility whatever role we’ve asked him to play, and has contributed with almost 100 first team appearances (including across two title winning seasons) is a sad indictment on the lack of any patience, heart, loyalty or perspective in a large section of our fanbase.

He deserves so much better treatment than City fans as a whole have been willing to afford him.

He’s been scapegoated for the failings of the whole team at just 20 years old, and it’s a fucking shame.

I am not even sure Newcastle would entertain the sale of Livramento if Isak were to stay.

We’d have to pay way over the odds to get him - and he’s just not worth anything near the £70/80m it would need to get Newcastle to consider letting him go.

He’s not that good.

My view is we may look at a non-homegrown option late in the window, dependent on sales - if we can shift Gundo and/or Akanji, that would give us the space in the squad to bring a NHG player.

Viana might pull a rabbit out the hat RB wise.

If you want to mix with the big boys at the top, players like Lewis and Mcatee don’t cut it I’m afraid. If we can get good money for both then it’s good business imo.

TAKE COVER INCOMMING!!!!!

Wouldn’t be surprised if we went for the lad at Porto if Rico goes. But we would need to offload a few more first.
Nunes is much quicker, better on the ball and is better at overlapping. It’s his defensive decision making and softness in the challenge he needs to sort.
