Having 3 Tottenham defenders on my Fantasy Premier team, I watched the Burnley game and to be frank, Tottenham didn’t look good despite the result (clinical finishing by Richarlison happens every 100 game or something).

Romero was very sloppy, Van de Ven looked stressed and lot of space between them. Hopefully Frank will not start with 3 CB and I believe Haaland will have a field day.

Furthermore, defending is not Perro’s strong side, Johnson is not a LW, Sarr very slow with the ball and Bergvall and Gray is not a great midfield duo. However, Kudus was good and Spence was good defensively but some meaningless passes forward.

Top of the table clash 1st (us) vs 2nd ( joint) Spursy.

But as Sly Sports kept reiterating endlessly 'early days yet'

It is, but I think that was to appease the Red masses. Every pundit and his dog * hello Stanley can't see further than the Dips to retain the title.

I am not saying we win, as Chavs will also have a strong input to the pl outcome.

Spursy ain't a title winning team and for me it's beyond belief they are in the CL * although slightly more preferable than the Rags.....

Given your user name you may be aware of this but the last time Spurs won the title there was just 2(two) TV channels broadcast in the UK.

So you may have a point regarding them being a title winning team ;)

I hope that this kind of match will not happen again. They hit every damn shot they took, and we on the other hand missed a huge number of chances. Just like this season, we were their hosts in the second round of the EPL, after a convincing 5-0 win over West Ham.

Watching them against Burnley they are well more compact and played a lot on the break at home! 5 at the back at times! So we can see where the manager frank tactics is and why they after Eze and Savino

No doubt Pep will change it around again two games in. Trafford, Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, Ait-Nouri, Gundogan, Gonzalez, Bernardo, Reijnders, Marmoush, Haaland

maybe it will sound strange
The last team that beat Spurs at home.

Far bigger challenge than today, even though we’re at home. Spurs notoriously difficult opponents for us, and on a high themselves after today’s result (plus the new manager ‘bounce’). Presume we’ll either delay the Savinho deal or insist he can’t play if the deal goes through, and hopefully Palace hold on to Eze for another week at least!

We’ll be full of confidence ourselves after today and hopefully the ground will be bouncing despite the early kick off.

Trafford
Nunes
Stones
Dias
Ait-Nouri
Gonzalez
Rjeinders
Bernardo
Cherki
Bobb
Haaland
I assumed they'd be going for either Eze or Savinho, surely Kudus, Eze and Savinho are all a bit similar?

Not sure how you can do such a clear, definitive and erudite analysis without mentioning Richarlison is a cnut

Donnarumma
Lewis Stones Dias Ait-Nouri
Bernado Nico G Reijnders
Cherki Haaland Marmoush

3-1, Rodrygo to score as a sub late on….

I think the only change will be Marmoush for Doku

The players in possession deserve another crack at it

Loads of firepower from the bench if needed

We need rock solid defensive players against them. Last time we played them at home, they destroyed Rico, he doesn't have the defensive capabilities to handle their attackers. I would be tempted to play Khusanov (like against Madrid) or Akanji at RB. I would also be tempted to play Marmoush and Cherki instead of Bobb and Doku. Otherwise, unchanged team assuming Gvardiol is not fit.

From what I can tell, it looks like they want both. They'd have some pretty decent attacking options if they get them.

Richarlison looked useful yesterday. We need to be better at stopping crosses. Even Wolves managed to get a few in yesterday from Ait-Nouri's side. I would stick with Doku albeit he was quite ineffective yesterday. I doubt it will be a 0-0 draw.
