Mental opinion. Sadly shared by @tolmie's hairdoo who is currently trying to shoot him down on Twitter. Probably said the same about Rodri when he first played.

He's actually faster than I thought he was as well, there was a moment in the last minutes where he got back and beat the winger to the ball with a tackle. I didn't think he'd get there.

Looked nervous in the first half hour and played conservatively, but he grew into the game really well and was good in the second half.

Lack of pace? Everyone is allowed an opinion, but he was tested for pace once by a very quick player and he kept pace and put in a very smart tackle.

He's a Cancelo, great on the ball and going forward but he switches off and it will cost us. Just hopefully he contributes a hell of a lot for the trade off to be worth it. He's technically a superb footballer.

A massive talent, but I do think we looked a lot more vulnerable down our left than our right, where Bobb and Lewis really locked things down for long spells. I think we have seen enough of him in the PL to know how good he is though.

That's your opinion ,I saw him give doku a hospital ball lose the ball and just jog back ,from memory he put one cross in ..early doors as I stated but I don't think he had a great game yesterday m

They had a lot of joy down our right side in the first half but this is more a flaw in our system than any fault by Ait-Nouri. I was impressed by his technical ability and showed he’s a solid defender in the second half, too.
