Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

Of course, for the right price, I think we should’ve sold Savio, but I’m guessing it’ll be typical Levy trying to get him on the cheap. I was genuinely excited about the idea of Rodrgo joining City. I think he'd be second only to Haaland in recent years in terms of being a major superstar signing for us.

That said, with the number of matches we’ve got this season, the squad is clearly going to be heavily rotated. I do think Savio isn’t the finished article yet, but this season we really need more goals, or at least stronger overall performances. A bit like Grealish during the treble-winning season: not huge on goals or assists, but his impact was massive.

Shouldn’t listen to the media too much. He wants to make the World Cup and doesn’t know if he will get consistent game time. Everyone else at his position in the club is basically safe in their national teams while his opponents are the most hyped in estevao and ballon d‘or candidate Raphinha including rodrygo. It’s the same with Echeverri who wants to play for a better club instead of Girona due to being „ seen“
Bollocks. He should feel privileged to play for City and he doesn't, otherwise he'd have spoken out that he wants to stay like Rico did.

Rico saying that has endeared himself to lots of blues who were unsure about him. He wants to stay and fight for his place and I'm ok about him staying.

Savinho wanting out has alienated himself from the squad and fans so I don't want a player here with his attitude. Fuck him off ASAP.

It wouldn't surprise me if this fell apart after us finding out how much rodrygo was expecting to be paid, I could be wrong but I imagine Savinho is on a fairly modest salary (if there is such a thing for footballers)

Will be interesting to see how Savinho walks back from this. His pic on social media at the weekend clearly debunking the "hes injured" storyline to effectively take the piss - alongside the understood stance that he wanted out - means hes got some ground to make up.

Does he actually get into a squad of 18 atm - I dont think he does tbh, so theres some rocky road ahead for him and us. I dont think the match going fanbase will be too thrilled with him, put it that way.

When the news first broke in - I was fuming at the sight of a 21 year old leaving the club while the oldies stay put. But the price quoted and Rodyrgo as a replacement made me content with the deal.
Savio is a risky proposition as he is not a consistent goalscorer YET. Spurs can deal with this risk since they dont compete at the top. And the **** wants out to no less Spurs.

Since we are back with the Savio show in the city now esp the sad little fucker getting his dream move to Spurs scuppered Can we seriously start him at Anfield Emirates or Bernabau with his mopey attitude and less than competent goal scoring ?

I was not excited by Rodrygo as his end product is not much better than Savio and Doku.

If we add a wide player, then let it be for a player like Kluivert or Semenyo. It appears that City's incomings might be done now with the excpetion of Donnarumma?

Wouldn’t be surprised to eee a new contact either to up his wages and to repair any pr damage.

Maybe word has come down from above to not sell to Levy.

From the interviews about the 115.. you can tell Khaldoon really has a chip on his shoulder about Levy.
