I don't enjoy watching Doku at least not in our team. He gets the ball. He's stationary, he's up against 2 defenders, there's a lot of shuffling about. It's sort of like the rest of the 19 players on the pitch are not involved.

Savinho is a more elegant player but as you say needs a kick up the arse.

I just think if there’s one player to watch who doesn’t actually deliver anything, Doku is your man. It’s great but shit at the same time.

Rightly or wrongly, I accept Doku for what he is, whereas, Sav annoys the life out of me because hes nowhere as erratic, but until he sorts his end product out, he will be far more annoying as a nearly man.

Interesting reading The Fighting Cock forum and Spurs fan reactions. A mixture of being gutted and happy they’re not paying £70m - citing the fact that most blues weren’t best pleased with the Balague report earlier today.

There seemed to be an acceptance that Levy wouldn’t stump up for both Eze and Savinho but some hoped it’d be Savinho he’d pay for because they’re desperate for a left winger apparently. Some referring to Levy as ‘Baldcunt’ which is amusing and that we ‘got bored’ of his negotiating so have called the deal off.

Although some are adamant that if they offered what we supposedly wanted, and he said he’d want to leave, then it’d still happen.

Would be an interesting scenario if that did pan out but I reckon we’d reject any bid regardless now. Especially if it comes late in the window when we can’t replace him.

Foden, Cherki, and Bernardo all need to be used through the middle, not deputising out on the wings. It’s time for them to play in the middle with their drive and energy, which in turn puts pressure on Gundogan and Kovacic. More energy and pace in the middle will mean more space out wide.

How do you know he has not been with the squad and club doctors as much as he has been instructed to? Has anyone reported on this or are you coming to this conclusion solely on him once posting a pick of being at a gym by himself? Seems a bit far fetched.

With the signing Alt Nouri, I like many, I thought we would be changing formation this season & moving away from wingers with Marmoush, Cherki Foden & Bernardo playing more as inside forwards & Alt Nouri & Nunes giving the width as wingbacks.

Pep set up in his traditional 4-3-3 on Saturday & Bobb did more off the ball than Savinho, so you'd think Sav is going to get less game time & it wouldn't surprise me if transfer gets done nearer the deadline

Might be as simple as being down to money/wages? Maybe we took him on the cheap from Girona, and say for example he’s on £50k a week, but then spits dummy out once he gets to know what everyone else is on and what he could be earning if he went to Spuds for £60/70mil.

Viana getting tough and not handing out big renewals without being confident the player is worth it, and I’m inclined to agree with his position, if that’s the case.

Possibly similar scenario to Rico, based on last season’s form, however Rico knuckling down and wants to play for City so if he grafts and improves and earns the raise then we will all be better for it.

Perhaps, but I think we’ll see different systems used and players deployed. The club is smarting from last season and will be out to prove a point, but to sustain a powerful challenge across fronts, I think we’ll see much more rotation both for and during games. If Savinho remains, then he’ll have to be utilised.
