Mod's delete this if done elsewhere already...
Prompted by a post in the Top Five Films thread, I realised I'd been to some (relatively non obvious) Film Locations over the years:

1. Manchester By The Sea (as the film)
2. Gloucester (The Perfect Storm)
3. Tatouine (The troglodyte hotel in Star Wars on Planet Tatooine)
4. Regency Cafe in Westminster (as seen in Layercake)

I'm now trying to think of others that not 'everyone' has been to.

Do your worst!

Hathersage Church - Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue
Bishops Park, Fulham - The Omen
Thors Cave, Derbyshire - Lair of the White Worm + loads of other Lake District locations used by Ken Russell
The Saltstore House, Lubeck- Nosferatu

Pubs :
The Crown, Stony Stratford - Withnail and I
The Globe, Covent Garden - Frenzy
t Zwart Huis - In Bruges

Not sure these count as obscure but I was in Philadelphia on Saturday and saw the Rocky steps, as well as the Ghostbusters HQ

I'm heading to Cleveland this weekend and planning to visit a district called Tremont. That was where the wedding scenes from The Deerhunter were filmed.

Back in 2001 we were in Manhattan and walked past the loading bay at the Plaza Hotel where the Sticky Bandits caught Kevin in Home Alone 2. Then we went into Central Park and they were filming the airplane scenes from Stuart Little 2. I think we're actually in that scene.

Tunisia: Life of Brian set while filming

Chicago: Batman, Child’s Play, Red Heat, Untouchables

Stalybridge & other villages: Yanks (went to extras auditions, too!)

Bodega Bay - The Birds
Newfoundland - The Shipping News and stayed in the same hotel as the cast. I may have taken a dump in the same bog as Judi Dench.
Toronto - The Last Detail. Bar scene shot in the Spadina Inn (now a backpacket hostel) - the wooden bar still had the dents from where Jack Nicholson slams his 45 handgun down on it.

Hanging Rock, Victoria - Picnic at Hanging Rock

Stalybridge - Yanks

Clunes Victoria - Mad Max

Mono lake California - High Plains Drifter

TV.
Port Isaac - Doc Martin

Port Merrion - The Prisoner

Glass House Mountains - Black Snow S2

Windsor NSW - Mr in-between

The wedding scene used lots of locals as extras, maybe there will still be a few around.

The field. as in the Bull McCabes (Richard Harris) field , filmed in a little village called Leenane in Co Galway, it was easy to recognize the actual field in question, as it was much greener and had less stones than those surrounding it
