Will we win the league this season?

Going to win the lot

Had a good feeling when Erling reported that Pep is acting like a man possessed in training and Erling and the rest of the squad love this attitude

A hugely encouraging opening weekend:

1) City excelled with outstanding individual performances from Reijnders, and Bobb. Stones was also fit.
2) Liverpool won but looked very unconvincing with Salah and Van Dijk looking very much like 33 year old and 34 year old players.
3) Arsenal struggled, largely perhaps because Gyokeres struggled.
4) Chelsea dropped points with Cole Palmer putting in another non-performance. If he doesn't perform, Chelsea don't perform.

There are major moves possible in the transfer market both featuring City (Donnarumma) and Liverpool (Isak). Right now they both look possible. Liverpool really need the Isak transfer to happen imo.

The latest nonsense I have seen from two pundits—and more will join them—is that Pep has lost his passion and can no longer motivate the guys. Oh yeah? Well, have a look at him on the touchline if the Spurs game gets difficult. My bet is that he will be doing his nut, as per. The fire in his belly will never go out.

My only reason for saying yes is that Pep almost always wins the league. You'd have to be an idiot to bet against him tbh. First game looked good, but it's a long season and often the early pace setters don't end up winning it. Arsenal were shite, but they got the win. Liverpool were shite, but they got the win.

I think the first five games are critical.
From the corresponding games last season we took 3 points.
If we can get 13 points it’s definitely on.

Spurs, rags, Brighton, dippers next 4 games. lets see how many points we have from the max 15 after this run of games. if 11 (3 wins, 2 draws) or more thats great start.

last season we lost to Spurs t home, drew to rags away, lost to Brighton away, and lost to dippers at home. (and beat Wolves away )
so last season exact same fixtures got us total of 4 points from 15.
more than double of that needed this time. at least 9 points, but 10-12 would lot better, 13-15 imo wee wont do that so early on, but that would put the shit on our rivals face.

Kai Havertz has suffered a knee injury. The club do not know the extent of the injury. More info. expected on Friday when Arteta holds his pre-match press conference.

If Havertz is out for a lengthy period then that puts a lot of pressure on Gyokeres who struggled vs Man Utd.

For me Donna will win us more additional points than Isak wins them and for a fraction of the price. I think the markets are right to have the dippers favourites currently but if both signings are made I’d have us as favourites
