Well that will turn many fans away especially when he mentions the rags every 10mins.
It's going to be interesting to see what tone he takes . He is a canny pantomime / vaudeville act . He has had tremendous success as a pioneer in broadcasting "fan" based angry disinhibited live match content, cleverly also giving a sense of belonging to all the Rags not from Manchester . Not an option for this gig . Unless he changes his name, again, to Markus Goldbrüke and reveals a secret childhood attachment to Bayern and lederhosen . Lets not go there ....

Cunha played in a wolves side that finished 16th largely due to the fact, that the lazy fucker spent most of the game strolling around the bastard pitch.
Also being suspended for 6 games in the second half of the season didn’t help

although as we only lost 1 of those 6 perhaps it’s a mute point anyway

But as you say, they've brought in the likes of Di Maria, Casemiro, Falcao, Varane, Sancho and Pogba and not improved as a teteam.
Just look at that list of players you've highlighted.

These were either quality players in their own right or players with great potential, all of whom signed for the rags and to a man either regressed or completely plateaued.

You can add into that mix some quality managers too who have failed at that club.

It's not a coincidence that when players and managers leave the rags either by mutual agreement or other means they often go onto thrive with other teams.

Why is this?

That's the story the British media need to investigate instead of constantly trying to steer the narrative to: "This time it's going to be different"

This time isn't going to be any different to last season, the season before that and the season David Moyes joined them.

Manchesniteh is a Brand! A corporate project! The proverbial cash cow that their shareholders and most of the British media have been suckling on for years.

That's never going to change and that's what they mean when they say Manchesniteh is too big to fail.

Their fans (bless em) hear this and think oh! Great, we'll be competing for Europe this season. Unbeknownst to them they're the ones who are actually culpable in keeping the coffers rolling in each year by investing in the replica shirts, duvet covers and matching lampshades.

The rags actually remind me of the the tobacco industry. The greatest challenge tobacco companies face isn't keeping their clients coming back for more it's getting them hooked in the first place. The rags have got enough of a fanbase to keep them in clover for years to come.

The owners of Filth FC have no interest whatsoever whether the club compete for European football or stay above the drop zone. As long as the money keeps coming in nothing is ever going to change.

I think we can safely say that the rags have become victims of their own success.

Also, the lesser known and mystic Meg prediction:
‘Welcome to Manchester United Pep Guardiola’

And of course:
‘Guardiola will want to rip up his contract with the arrival of Mourinho at United’
I remember those comments well.

The latter uttered by that self-professed statesman, Patrick Barclay who was sat around the table on the set of Sunday Supplement while masticating a rather stale looking croissant.

You would think (purely from a sense of self-preservation) that these so called journalists would have figured it out by now and start playing the odds.

Talk up MCFC chances of succeeding and get behind our signings, while simultaneously warning of the continued failure of the rags if they're to persist with this course of action.

I was actually continuing the quoting of that travel rep (£x for a true fan experience of being taken to a pub) Howson.

Though the words from Barclay were probably the same!

Is that the same Stephen Howson that did a podcast on Stretford Paddock?

Coined the catchphrase "might as well be Celtic" while whining about the continued success of MCFC?

Both of them had one good season for mid to lower table teams, they have played in the pl to call them proven premier league quality is a bit of a stretch.
This is the equivalent of City signing Wanchope and Huckerby in 2000/01. They can do a job, will have their moments but they will not set the PL on fire.

Fingers crossed 25/26 see's them finish in the same position we did that season.

Not sure if this is a wind up or not but here we go.

Proven quality?

Mbuemo had one good season at Brentford. Brentford had a very good manager at the time in Thomas Frank who coached progressive football.

Cunha played in a wolves side that finished 16th largely due to the fact, that the lazy fucker spent most of the game strolling around the bastard pitch.

Add to that, both these "premier league proven" players are now picking up significantly improved wages as they ply their trade at rag central; I think we can safely say they'll soon be following the likes of Hojlund, Sancho, Rashford........... need I go on?
Cunha won last seasons award for the player who 'walked' the most... true that according to the stats
