It's Quiet the £250m return

No Rodrygo? Fine, perhaps he's too much work but if we don't get Donnarumma, I'm going to start massively doubting Viana. Best GK in the world who is 26yo throwing himself at us but 40-50mil Euros for that is 'too much' and because 32yo Ederson who is way past his prime 'still isn't sold'? Give me a break!
Why would we pay 40 - million Euros for Donna ?

Right now anything over 20mil. for Donnarumma is a lot.
His want's big wage and we all know that he will not play for PSG so why would we pay big fee?
Also how many others teams are for him not many or maybe just us, PSG can ask for how ever much they want, but reality is different if they don't lower their demand for fee, then they can have him, let them pay his wages and next year he will leave for free.

He said that KDB had agreed to sign with Inter Milan, but that was nonsense. He is not familiar with Belgian players either.
I thought he was good with Italian transfers and one of the first on the Reijnders deal.

But 3 of us have said different things so I’m hoping a chancer!!

20+ mil for Trafford who isn't PL-proven is a great deal but anything over 20mil for the best shot stopper in the world is 'a lot'? Ok mate.

To be fair I think Trafford could excel but definitely a different option to Trafford /Eddie or Trafford/Donna

Personally I think it’s bs . Maybe we’ve scouted - we scout a lot. Maybe we are being used by his agent as one of the biggest clubs in the world and trying to get a GK already
I was fully on board with Ederson as number 1 for one more season and Trafford getting significant game time with the plan for him to be number 1 next season. If Trafford failed we could go big for a keeper next summer. A move for Donnarumma would cause chaos but I’d prefer it to the Trafford and Belgian number 3 scenario.

As promising as Trafford’s debut was and as exciting as his potential is you cannot expect him to be the number 1 for a team competing to win the Premier League and Champions League with all the pressure and scrutiny that brings with one dodgy premier league season under his belt. He might swim but there’s also a very good chance he could sink and we would only have the Belgian number 3 to fall back on.

Best goalkeeper in the world and only 26 years old? Next best goalkeeper is Diogo Costa who is 60mil. Otherwise he'll go to our rival and we'll regret it big time. Trafford is not 100% PL ready while Ederson is 32yo past his prime. We absolutely need Donnarumma.

Why are PSG happy to let him leave if he's the best goalkeeper in the world?

Wages. Donnarumma was signed during the Mbappé, Neymar & Messi Galactico period. PSG sought to end that era & to follow the City model of talented players willing to sweat blood for the club.

It worked & they won the CL they coveted. Donnarumma reportedly wants a Galactico style wage to extend, which would presumably cause dressing room unrest, hence PSG making the call to buy Chevalier & sell Donnarumma.

Seems a silly strategy from his agent to push so hard for more money. He's already on a fortune and he's not going to get paid as much as he wants if he comes here. No wonder he was linked to the rags, they'd happily pay it!

Our wages are higher than theirs
