My 13 year old daughter is using my over 65uncles ticket. Would that be an issue with the cameras?
We arent fiddling on price as OAP snd juniors are same

I missed that game last season as I was in London for an old friend's birthday party. I watched it then went to the party. Watching it was bad enough but my friend is a Spurs fan and there were a few rags down from Manchester as well. Fortunately one of my oldest friends was there, who is a fellow blue, so we stuck together.

I'm predicting Carnage not chaos. The turnstiles at Entrance J would just not NFC my phone, despite everywhere else on the earth allowing me to tap and go.

Hopefully these new readers are more reliable, but i think a big problem will be people who haven't downloaded their new tickets, forgot to enable NFC or are using old school thick leather cases that block the signal.

Removing the ability to can a code tomorrow won't help, but it'll all sort itself out soon enough.

I don’t even know what NFC is let alone how to enable it! Can I get in using FOC?

My 14-year-old cousin has a problem every time she goes in the ground tbf. She gets her ticket transferred but the scanners just don't recognise her phone. She has to be let in via key every week. Hopefully this new system will actually get her in the ground first time. No idea why we can't just go back to them plastic cards we had, or back to the old paper system so the club can pay someone to check it and give a kid a job for 3 hours on a Saturday.

My phone's NFS would not 'open' the turnstile last season but I have tested my phone on a turnstile a few weeks ago and it worked, or at least the display turned green.

Previously I have had trouble getting in on the NFC but the other week City made turnstile P available so people could go and test and mine worked no problem.
Hope it's the same tomorrow.

The actual turnstiles (scanners) work. They had a "test event" last week etc.

I anticipate some fans will not have downloaded their tickets from mancity.com or their emails. I think in the previous season there was no reason to do that. That may catch some people out.

Ive got me dad's ticket for tomorrow and the rags.
If I have a problem getting in I'll just walk back to town and not bother against the shit I can't be arsed.

Just be aware that according to who I spoke to at the club last week… ‘this season the club has a dedicated team to try and find people who aren’t using their own season ticket’
They are possibly randomly selecting people to make sure it’s the named person going in the ground and not someone else using their season ticket.
I was told this when asked if my brother in law could have my season card on his phone as per the 2 phone rule, she said no and I could get my season ticket taken off me if someone uses it who isn’t me without using the ticket transfer!

First game of the season seems to always have longer queues. It’ll be fine. I’ll leave the townley ten minutes before kick off as usual.

Going by the doom mongers on here, you're probably best stay put and watch it on the telly. If the said mongers are to be believed, it'll be like that Covid season at 12:30!
