I went to the training event at the Joie stadium the other week. They've got the new readers installed too. It took a fair while to get in and when I asked why one of the stewards said "The readers keep crashing" Hopefully, they've rectified whatever the problem was.

There is nothing automatic. You have to download it. If anyone hasn't done it, open your ticket account on your mobile, logi-in, go to season ticke, check the box and click download

How can they not download them, it does it automatically ?

Mine didn’t and the button to download my season ticket was greyed out on the website so there was nothing I could do. I had to contact the club and get new download links emailed over. Thankfully the email came through first thing this morning.

Perhaps we can blame the club for fans not reading the emails they send out. I know City like to complicate things but this time they made it easy and people still won't follow the instructions.
I have to admit I've been checking it every day since downloading it just to be sure!! - I'll also be getting in early today, as I do for the first game every season, just in case there's a cock-up.

Sat in their account waiting to download must have either ignore the information sent or forgot< I guess there maybe some with technical difficulties Issue is that since e-tickets there hasn't been any need to update this is the first time and due to the new turnstile card readers

I am predicting chaos at the turnstiles before tomorrows first game of the season v Tottenham. This afternoon you can't get through on the helpline for mobile ticket issues for this game and it has been going on for weeks.
The first game of the season is going to be a nightmare at the turnstiles and City know it !

The new turnstiles come with cameras installed as standard. However, there are no plans for these cameras to be in operation, or to be used in any way.

This is odd, isn't it? If the technology's in place, it will be used. Sooner or later. That is as inevitable as death and taxes. It is utter bollocks that they need to know, individually, who is in the ground. 54,000 people, soon to be 60,000? Yeah, right.
Anybody shouting homophobic or racist insults can now be picked out by in-ground camera technology. In any case we're talking about a tiny handful of people.
If those are activated, I'm out. That's it. I shall be a tv “supporter”. After nearly sixty years, the last thread will be broken between me and the club as a match going fan.

I anticipate some fans will not have downloaded their tickets from mancity.com or their emails. I think in the previous season there was no reason to do that. That may catch some people out.

Tomorrow is going to be going chaos, I've been told that around 9k fans haven't downloaded for tomorrow. So if you have any ticket issues expect to be in a big queue. When I rang Fan Support today the guy on the phone told me it's been a massive issue for them. Feel sorry for the staff having to put up with these shit systems we get in. If it's not broke don't fix it.

If only there was some way the club could have given people ample warning...
