Before I start questioning the most successful manager in history I would question the quality of our players. Lots of good ones, very few top ones. It’s incredible how good Bernie has become on here over the past 20 mins.

I said making him captain was a terrible idea and 2nd game into the season, our captain is on the bench. He will have to come on in the 2nd half to try and give us some solidity in the middle but it’s a fucking farce that yet again, we’ve selected a captain, who isn’t guaranteed to play most weeks.

That would kill his confidence. What we need to stop doing now is trying to pass short when defenders are covered. Don’t ever remember Joe Corrigan conceding like that after he had launched it upfield.

Aye, the midfielder there is running to give him an option over the top, not to receive the ball. But the fact that he managed to fuck that up with two other passes to choose from is impressive.
