Haaland should have scored with the header and his pass to Cherki was piss awful.

If he doesn't score he's a waste of space.

I agree. He loses every duel with opposing centre back and fir a big guy is too easily brushed off the ball.

I just don't know where we go from here. The team isn't good enough.

Get a settled defence and get it sorted.

I’m not excusing us, but I do think they were decent too and hard to break down today. Marmoush should’ve buried that chance from the through ball first half though, and if Reijnders or Haaland had also taken their first half chance, could have been a different story.
Their motivation second half, to hold on to what they had, grew as ours diminished.

We were absolutely fucking shite. I’ll give credit where it’s due though, completely out coached, outplayed, outfought by spurs.

Every elite player that has left has been replaced by squad players and projects instead of world class additions and it shows. Especially on the wings.

Worse than most if not all performances last season, worrying given how many new signings were involved.

Yeah. The way we were physically overwhelmed by the press looked like some of the games last year when we had Bernardo-Kova-Gundo in midfield.

It was painful to see our players collapse every time they came into contact with Spurs players.

Our signings in general over the last few years are just not up to it. Marmoush, Nico, Doku, Savinho, Nunes and to a lesser extent Kovacic. All bad signings not the quality required to compete. The new lads the jury is out but you see some of the other teams signing players who are proven in the premier league, yes there might be a premium but you know they can do it.

We are in for a season of pain again and it’s largely down to the fact our recruitment team don’t know what they’re doing.

Well beat.If rodri & foden are fit for 60 mins play them for the first 60 mins then sub them off, you never know we might have a lead by then. Cherki needs integrating like foden was when he was a kid, bit by bit.

Awful from back to front absolutely clueless. Substitutions changed nothing they were simply better than us in all departments. Pep needs to earn his money because that was a young team and they out pressed us

Second goal was just a terrible play by Trafford but we look listless. Created nothing. Tottenham has us out of any rhythm with their press and constant pressure. Good game plan by them and we were putrid

Most of the hard pressing teams do this against us lately, cant keep up with then or pass through them

That was pathetic. A lot of us were excited about the team, so I'm not going to criticize that, but the lack of response was damning.. Spurs hung on in patches first half - it was hardly an onslaught but we had chances. They then realized they could get in behind and just bullied the fuck out of us. We didn't react - never do these days.

Marmoush and Haaland both have to take the first half chances too, although singling them out (or doubling them? Ha) is a bit unfair when it was a shit show from 16 players

If pressing well and defending well is all the opposition have to do its gonna be a long season, cos every team in the prem can do that.

We will always gift a chance or two as well, from mistakes or high line.

A lot more coaching to do Pep, and quickly.
