No it wasn't! Cherki stopped running. If he just carries on he scores but he stopped. And that was that. Ok, I'm fighting a losing battle with this one.

People still happy not having Ederson in goal and wanting us to be pressed?

We needed another midfielder this summer but I guess that will have to wait until next summer.
 
First home game and a defeat. A shockingly mediocre performance from City today. Let's hope this is an aberration. We now need to bounce back with a win at Brighton.

maybe it was all about kevin. the aura and the talent.
 
I thought the first goal was more worrying than the second - long ball flicked on to a wide player who runs away from our non defence and squares a ball across the box for a tap in. Surely to fuck when the centre back goes up for a header, another defender drops off in case of a flick on and to be nearer our goal than another attacker? This is and always has been basic defending or am I going completely mad?
 
We just looked so leggy in all areas. Bernardo looked knackered after only being on for 10 mins. Lost almost every 50/50 challenge. Our passing was wayward and some of our close control was abysmal.
Regroup and onto next week. It can’t get much worse than today.

Think I read at half time that Ait Nouri has hardly had an injury for 3 years. It would be a major blow if our only out right wing back was injured for a while.

Nico was decent? I doubt that man can even control his own bladder let alone our midfield.
 
My problem with post matches after a game like that is posts and supporters at the ground calling out individual players and slagging of young players. When the senior players and team as a whole were awful.
