Spurs (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Pep has struggled against this tactic his whole career… he won’t change his philosophy for one match and if a team that plays like this, plays well - and we’re not at the races, we lose.

Pep isn’t currently committed to the club beyond this season.

Im not on Social Media. But id appreciate it if Dias could leave his frickin shorts alone. What is that nonsense pulling them up showing off his quads at corner kicks? He needs to focus on the football. He’s been dross for 18-24mths.
Spot on.

Maybe less bulky thighs would enable our slow as fuck centre half to run a bit faster ?

pep has a week now he will showing that game coach them into what they should do not do! Have to say though that must be our worse performance under pep! We were getting beat last season with control but teams score in transition this game we had no control poor passing diabolical decision making and so poor on chances!

That didn't exactly go as planned.

I thought we started well enough but just lost our way a bit after RAN went off. Having said that, both their goals came from our mistakes and we had chances of our own that we didn't put away. Really feel for Trafford but hopefully the couple of saves he made near the end will give him a bit of a confidence boost.

I genuinely believe that we have plenty of talent in our squad and when they gel, we will take some stopping. It didn't happen today and it might take a few games for it to really click.
We could gel but our defence is absolute dire and that won’t change I mean some bright fuckers doesn’t even think we need a fucking right back . Criminal .

Really poor after a decent start (we had many of them last season).

Like most I was excited by the line-up but in reality it didn’t have the right balance in midfield.

Spurs were more than decent with more intensity and physicality which is obviously disappointing.

Shocker from Traff but at least he showed some character in the second half.

Pretty insipid from us second half, it’s going to take a bit of time to find our feet against better opponents.

Typical for Rico and Ruben to sign new contracts then put in absolute stinkers today. We need some pace in that defence, one of Nunes or Khusanov has to be in there.

Just not our day.

Too many personnel changes in 8 months. Was Always gonna be an up and down season. But the keeper situation doesnt feel right. Even before today. Too soon for trafford for come to us and be no 1. No right back is not great. Marmoush is not a left winger. And Bobb like savinho before him probably not ready to be a starter.

Picked the wrong team today. So obvious what was coming from spuds. They do it too us a lot. Far too open in midfield. Transitional season ahead

His drop in form coincides with him getting together with Maya Jama, she’s ruined him.

Didn’t understand the starting XI. Thought it was too attacking considering it was obvious that if something went wrong, Pep would bring off Cherki and Marmoush and those are the 2 players you’d want coming on to inject something.

Think it would’ve been smarter starting with the same team as last week, or at least continued with a midfield 3 of Nico, Reijnders and Bernardo. At least then we’d have had something to use from the bench.

Our record against Spurs must be one of footballs weirdest ever jinx’s. It doesn’t matter what form either team are in, our home fixtures just follow the same pattern of us missing big chances, then being hit on the break and making costly mistakes, whilst they always play out their skin.

2 poor sides on the ball but they worked much harder than us off of it.

Timewasting is pathetic though, 8 second rule is pointless, they made it back on throw ins and free kicks. Not sure the ball was in play 2nd half.
Yeah, we are not fully match sharp yet. We didn't really have a pre-season after all. We have some tough fixtures coming, things could get ugly.
