This rebuild is going to need one more Summer which means another season of fighting for top 4. This week, we'll need to sign Donnarumma and (maybe) Rodrygo while next Summer, I think we'll have to go big for Musiala and Livramento to finally finish this. I said 3 months ago, it won't be until 2026/27 season until we are truly back.
If we've got a new manager next summer he'll want loads of his own players too. This could be a very long process.

Pep isn't leaving until 2027. He has highlighted in the last press conference that his contract ends then. He'd never do that unless he means to fulfill it. What's the point .... we could buy prime Maldini and Pep would still play Dias

…what kind of biscuit ?We do need Donnarumma. Trafford just crumbled like a biscuit that’s been sat in tea too long in a big game. Edersons head is half way out the door.

The problem is that you need to take every single Unc off Pep before he stops turning to them. We could sign anyone in the world and you can guarantee Bernardo and Kova when he’s fit will still play a part in every game.

Donarumma maybe the best shot stopper in the world but he is going to have to be if we continue to try and play like we have been for the last 10 years.
What needs to happen is to either get a keeper in to replace Ederson who is also comfortable with his feet, keep Ederson or play with a back 4 who are all fantastic on the ball (Dias and Ake aint and Rico is poor when pressed) plus a midfield who can work it through the whole length of the pitch either through physicality (which we dont have in abundance besides Rodri and reignjders) or through technical abiity to keep the ball(which we do have) - however the higher press teams will play if Ederson isnt in goals will lead to more high risk turnovers -which we saw today and Im not jsut talking about the goal..there were other times we lost the ball through bing pressed higher up the pitch and it happened quite a lot
