Spurs (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Fuckin shite all over the pitch, bullied everywhere, get a proper defensive coach ffs, we're clueless, it's like the keystone Kops at the slightest bit of pressure, and fuck ups aplenty up front, looked great against a shit wolves team but totally crumbled against an aggressive spuds was like men against boys, it's spurs ffs!! Fuckin 16th last season!!

Yep, would have been better if Ruben had of just taken responsibity and booted it upfield, although when he passed to Trafford there was no Spurs player near him .... but I've noticed already that Trafford has a nasty habit of dallying on the ball a bit too long, or taking one touch too many.

He's just got to use his head a bit more or he's not gonna get many first team chances.
Trafford got caught on the ball at Wolves, he got very lucky

Why didn't Ruben hoof it upfield?

It's his mistake.. should be a leader there and take responsibility because the team were under the cosh and already 0-1 down. Then he does this..

All that experience and fucking mental he'd put Trafford in a position like that.
He had two grest seasons but, since has been average at best.
If only he played as well as he talks off thd pitch, we'd be fine.
He's also a weak leader.

Both teams made errors in their own boxes, one team scored the other messed it up.
We were not great today and I my opinion none of the substitutes did anything to improve. Yes the Trafford could have done better, so could have Haaland with his head, Marmoush with his feet, Doku keep running the ball out, Foden playing lazy passes backwards on the halfway line instead of turning, Rodri’s poor header than nearly cost us a goal…. I could go on and on with the mistakes. Spurs we’re better today than us but we will improve, everybody did try today but it was one of those days that didn’t go to plan.
It will take time and we must be patient, I’m pretty sure the players are hurting tonight or I hope they are.
Onwards and upwards

We need Rodri and Foden now to come back. Too many new players in unsure positions. Disjointed and we need to get back to keeping the ball. It served us pretty well in the past regardless of changing fashions. Also I wonder if Fernie can still run and clatter a few.....

Apart from 2-5 (when know-body was there) v Leicester in 2020, our last opening home game defeat was in 1989 v Soton ! I think

It’s our own fault. The new players we have brought in are not at an elite level. There’s a reason why they didn’t cost £80-100m.

Then persisting with Rico who is mid table standard at best. And the keeper is Championship level. Ake, Dias and Stones too slow for the high line.

Sadly our time at the top is over, but I enjoyed the ride.

I’ve calmed down a bit now. Was just one of those days. I think once we fecked up with the second goals, heads just dropped and we weren’t coming back. Spurs played very well in their pressing and defending. I think we were a bit too predictable and that we need a bit of a change in how we adapt to trickier situation. Earlier many were calling for Donnarumma (including myself) - he probably wouldn’t have changed anything to do with the mistake. Remember that he’s 22. Also reference Khusanov making a mistake early in his career and going on to be our POTM. Have a bit of faith, it’s one bad game. Lessons will be learned by both players and management. However, I think Rodrygo would’ve been a great player to have in that situation. We’ve seen how he can turn a game on it’s head no matter how down and out his team looked. I can definitely see business happening soon.

Overall, a shit day at the office.

It was utter shite, bad as last seasons many low points, weak, feeble, cant defend, slow as fuck and bullied all over by a shit spurs team. Sign a right back and a keeper for starters, hope Rodri can stay fit, stones gets his usual injury, because he was shite today,Doku and V9bb are powderpuff timewasters, all over a complete shit show. Up The Blues.

Apart from 2-5 (when know-body was there) v Leicester in 2020, our last opening home game defeat was in 1989 v Soton ! I think
We were at Liverpool away the first game in 89, we got beat first game v Wolves in 99 Robbie Keane front post and that was home.

I don't really think donnarumma or rodrygo change this team in any way and I don't really care if we go ahead and panic buy them. I just know we're gonna flip a coin before our next game on whether we're seeing 2010 barcelona or 2008 derby, like we do every match, regardless of who's on the pitch.

Just the filthy rags next at home! Fuck me we better beat them after today!

If we play like today then they will turn us over. The worst thing today was that there was very little fight after the second goal went in, it was like harking back to last season.

Hopefully we put in a good performance at Brighton and go into the derby at home with renewed confidence.

Awful that isn’t it. Dreadful.
I feel sorry for Trafford being put in that position. He's a new goalie learning his stuff at city no way should that happen. Trafford should be taking goal kick while city push up the field. If you ain't got the players for the system you want to play then you can't play that system. I hope Diaz gets well and truly bollocked for doing that. Its a fucking goal kick, just get the ball launched up the pitch.
