No but during the 0-1 win and even during the 0-4 he was seen. Not in our 0-4 home defeat against them he didn't.
It’s all about the chant….Still waiting to see what all the hype is.
He’s absolutely classIt’s all about the chant….
One footedness is not the case with Bobb.Bobb has great defensive awareness. The way he presses and the way he cuts lanes is extraordinary. He’s very responsible off the ball.
On the ball obviously he’s technically gifted. Great ability in small spaces. Very good explosion from a standstill.
My issue with him playing RW is he’s just way too one-footed. Sometimes it feels like he’s playing with one foot.
This can be problematic because it limits what he can do on the wing. If he ever comes up against a Nuno Mendes or Djed Spence he’s never going to be able to get past them on the outside.
That means he’s limited to cutting inside and we all know how congested those spaces are.
I think he’s great, but if you’re going to play him RW you need to be aware of the limitations that might pose.
People tend to wish he was more aggressive and relentless with his dribbling. For someone with that dribbling we should see more of it, but I think the reason we don’t is because of the issues I’ve mentioned above.
Its ok when the same thing is done for Doku though, apparently because hes not an academy product.Been the greatest player in the world for a year whilst out injured. 2 games into the new season where he was fantastic in the first and decent enough in 2nd (where the whole team was complete and utter garbage) and now suddenly he isn't all that and too physically weak for us.
This fucking forum man
Doku has had a reasonable amount of gametime for 2 seasons and has no football iq whatsoever. Not good enough at all from what he has shown so far. Bobb might not be good enough either but no one knew last year, and no one knows now. But his technicality and decision making from the little we have seen is still superb. Its ok when the same thing is done for Doku though, apparently because hes not an academy product.
I rate Doku too, but this isn't the Doku forum. Its ok when the same thing is done for Doku though, apparently because hes not an academy product.
This is true. Reactions are currently very extreme.Doku has had a reasonable amount of gametime for 2 seasons and has no football iq whatsoever. Not good enough at all from what he has shown so far. Bobb might not be good enough either but no one knew last year, and no one knows now. But his technicality and decision making is still superb from the little we have seen is still superb.
My issue is the team wins=players good, team loose=players bad phenomenon
Saying Doku has "no football iq whatsoever" is like saying "Bobb has no pace whatsoever". No, Doku has good IQ otherwise he wouldnt play for City and same goes for Bobb pace. Its just that Doku's biggest standout attribute is pace and Bobb's standout attribute is IQ. As I said, some level headedness is desperately needed here, but to have that you need to get rid of the double standards for academy and non academy players, and valuing one attribute (say IQ) more highly than another (pace). They have equal value and they are both fantastic players. The problem once again is the system.Doku has had a reasonable amount of gametime for 2 seasons and has no football iq whatsoever. Not good enough at all from what he has shown so far. Bobb might not be good enough either but no one knew last year, and no one knows now. But his technicality and decision making is still superb from the little we have seen is still superb.
