Donnarumma, very close to closing his signing for Manchester City

Marca is an unusual source for a French/English transfer but I’m not complaining.

Shame there’s not been a l’equipe update since the first lot of rumours. They tend to be good for French news nowadays.

Not really. He can be an understudy to Donna and develop accordingly
I admire your faith but do you really think D is suddenly going to learn how to play with his feet when that and his distribution have been identified as his weaknesses. Trafford's problems are the same as D's as are his strengths

They said it was basically done last week.

Does sound like this will fall into place at some point this final week.

Look it up where?

Donnarumma weakness hinted at as PSG introduce new 55m buy ...
Gianluigi Donnarumma's strengths include his exceptional shot-stopping ability, commanding presence due to his size, and good positional awareness and reaction time. However, his weaknesses are primarily inconsistent distribution and struggles with set-pieces, as he sometimes appears uncomfortable with the ball at his feet, has questionable accuracy under pressure, and can be indecisive with high crosses and corners.

I don't entirely n I do agree his performances dipped from his previous levels, which I realise actually sounds a bit contradictory lol.
Trafford isn't ready to be the main man yet. Burnley realised it the year they were in the premier league and dropped him. Yesterday told us he still isn't ready at the top level. He needs to be eased back in for the odd game and league cup games. There is a world of difference in playing in the championship and for England's second string to playing at the very top level. So we need a main keeper. We either sign what many consider to be the world's best atm, convince Eddie to stay or play Ortega. Nobody in world football is as good as Eddie with the ball at his feet so if Eddie goes we have to deal with that and adapt accordingly. It will be interesting to see what happens.
You make some good points but I'm not with you on Ortega. There's definitely a situation more important than the RB, that needs sorting out before the window closes

I meant does he have to to play for us

At the end of the day, it all comes down to one question — would you rather have Ederson in your team, the best passer of the ball we've ever seen as a goalkeeper, or Thibaut Courtois from 2022 to 2024, who might not be on Ederson’s level when it comes to distribution?"

And keep in mind , as today Donnaruma = Courtois

Id rather have Ederson up till about 12mths ago, the Ederson of now is not what he once was mentally which is the most dangerous part.

Whilst there is no doubting Eddy has been great for us, many were regularly complaining about one shot , one goal with him in the nets.

If not Ortega if Eddie goes then who? As for a right back I sincerely hope we sign one otherwise we'll get rinsed every game on that side as teams target us.

Can’t believe he has spent the last few years hoofing up front in a technically great PSG side
