Gianluigi Donnarumma | Done deal according to Romano

And only one year left on his deal.

Not being funny either, Donnarumma is going to want upwards of £300k a week as well.

I am more than happy to have Donnarumma at City, but I can't get my head around the fact Pep wants him as our number 1 despite deficiencies of how Pep wants to play, and probably more importantly, we are willing to spend upwards of £30m for a GK who PSG have ousted from their squad, he will want upwards of £300k a week, yet we won't spend the money required on a right back...

he may be shit with his feet but will save a few shots that are on target. Ederson hasnt saved much last 12 months and his head is elsewhere already. especially lot of CL knockout games I felt how Curtois made a huge difference to Real in close games who is also shit with his feet, making saves that even Allison, Ederson, Raya etc could never do...

our play and style ran its course, Pep is about to change and make us more direct. w donnt have the squad anymore to try to play prime City way. not with the likes of Doku, Marmoush, Lewis, Nunes, Haaland and the midfield roster we have compared to what we used to have etc.

our defence struggles a lot with high line even with Ederson these days.

the plan must be Pep turning us into a heavy counterattack side on 25% possession. seriously Marmoush, and Haaland and Doku would love it. and imo our defenders too would benefit.

thats why Warnock visited us so much recently. Pep taking masterclass advice from him on old school tactics.

:)

More perplexing than that is why we don't give Ederson £300k a week!

No wonder he wants to leave.. but do what you did with Bernardo.. pay the guy.. give him a rolls royce, a dog, a valet.. get him to stay!

Works for me, but if it is about the money surely the club would have resolved it, unless they just want a fresh signing or Eddie wants out ?

Apart from Kush. I reckon we have got the slowest defence in the league.

Ake
Akanji
Stones
Dias

Won't be anywhere near the sprinting charts this season.
Nunes and Khusnare among the quickest in the PL, so we can easily solve that issue

Hmmm…I bet that, wherever he goes, he doesn’t accept a reduction in wages.
Well hes going to be giving up millions in bonuses that he would normally get at City so he seems willing to sacrifice them.

I believe tax laws are favourable but they aren't giving him 300k a week to go there.

£30m isn't expensive for a keeper of his quality.

There will never be another Ederson. Absolutely one of a kind and so important to how we've player under Guardiola.

However, this guy is a decent keeper.

They wouldn’t need to to beat what City are paying him.

I admire your faith but do you really think D is suddenly going to learn how to play with his feet when that and his distribution have been identified as his weaknesses. Trafford's problems are the same as D's as are his strengths
identified by who ? , or is it a myth created on bluemoon, repeated by people who haven't got a clue and finally become fact, someone stuck a video up before ,showing his and a few other keepers stats over the last 2 years his kicking/passing stats are very decent indeed, in fact pretty close to edi , have a look for it,watch it and finally come back on here and decide if you are correct

Is he what? Better than Trafford or still here? If it's the former than yes. He's better with his feet, has more presence and experience. Trafford looked like a kid from the youth team thrown into the first team yesterday. He was the same the last time Burnley were in the premier league which is why they dropped him. As we all know these days there is a world of difference between the championship and the premier league.
It was one game… yes was dropped by Burnley. But then came back and was brilliant last season.

He’s a young gk, why write him off already. If I remember rightly Ederson also had a mare in his first few home games
