Well the next manager is going to have to change the entire backline and the entire way the team plays. Unless it’s Ederson in net we will have issues with any other keeper.

The entire club is built in Pep's philosophy, everyone from aged 10-18 is being coached the same way. The next manager isn't going to be Alan Pardew ffs.

Well obviously, but we’re going to have to change the way we play and adapt. That’s what all top teams do. Even Barcelona did it last season.

If we bring in a gk like donnarumma - basically anyone other than Ederson, we’ll have to change our style. Even pep has alluded to it.

Or do you think we should just try and keep playing out from the keeper?

You don’t get to the heights Donna has by being useless

You can play out from the back, just don't fucking brain dead passes like Trafford did. Thats where I am hoping Donnarumma's experience will come in.

What Ederson can do that no one else can is hit 60yrd passes to a forward on the run. 90% of the other passes anyone can do as its backwards and sideways to defenders, however that needs to get sharper because Dias, Ake and Stones were shite. Get Gvardiol back in, Ait Nouri fit and that left side becomes a lot easier to pass to.

i honestly thought he was shit at kicking until i watched that video, just shows someone says something on here without having a clue repeats it and it grows into the truth ,people need to find and watch that video think it was typical city on youtube

It isn't 1 match, watch the first 15 minutes of the Wolves and Palermo matches.
We will never see a footballing goalkeeper like Eddy again ,so we have to change the way we play .
So go and get 1 of the 4 best goalkeepers in the world if he is available .
Harsh on Trafford but we have to be brutal to get back to the top.
And while we are at it,address the biggest weaknesses in the team , right back and a powerful pacy ball winner in midfield .
 
Time to tell Eddy he can have Donna’s deal for 2 yrs then leave on a free with the clubs blessing. Trafford will be 25, have played in every domestic cup game and gained EXPERIENCE AND DECISION-MAKING at the top level, and can be our keeper for another 8-10 yrs.

Trafford’s performances have created a narrative that Keepers struggle to overcome, and invite pressure.

Why would we have to change Gvardiol, Khusonov, or Ait Nouri?
