He certainly does first contact is top of calf the sock is then pulled down it’s no where near his heal until the end of the contact You could see the tear in his sock after he pull it up
 
It's to easy these days to get a red card.
It was clumsy more than anything but did catch him down the back of his calf.
If ever football had 15 sin bins it was for challenges like that.

To be fair the Gordon red card is correct,I didn’t see the other challenge but some saying it’s scissors challenge which if it was then he should be off as well,they ref the game then change the interpretation depending who it is or more like which team it is for certain situations..

They obviously mean our current crop of players. Majority of the players that achieved these feats are gone

As was Gravenberch, which was much more cynical and more dangerous/more likely to cause an injury. See the difference

Watching it live I thought it was a stupid challenge as he couldn’t get there, the fact he was running at full tilt probably sealed his fate.

Bit like the gravenbetch tackle (which was really bad, the old scissor effort from behind) - it was a yellow as there wasn’t nearly as much speed in the tackle.

I’m not just criticising Sutton, loads of pundits change their tune (probably with the benefit of getting to hear VAR’s thoughts whilst we hear nothing!)

Disappointing as wanted the toon to take at least a point off these dicks.

That was far more debatable than let's says the Henderson handball in the FA Cup Final, yet it conveniently went Liverpool's way.

Do you honestly think that handball in the final would have gone against Liverpool?

I’m not saying for one minute VAR isn’t inconsistent ….just saying that it was a moronic tackle by Gordon,worthy of a red card … VvD did well to show the constraint he did
