I'm "match going", yet strangely I don't feel even slightly "fucked over".

Some of the things they bring in, I'm not overly enthused about, and I've said so, but my overall experience is still good, as I suspect is the case for the majority of supporters.

What I'm sick of, and really sick of, is the serial fucking moaning about everything about my club, on and off the pitch (by a pretty small majority it has to be said). Social media is the absolute cause of that.

My focus is the football on the pitch, and we are still up there with the best in the world imho.

Nobody is moaning about everything the club does. That has never been the case.
The directors do good things. The directors do bad things.
What the directors did with the season ticket rules is a bad thing.
What they did with Match ticket prices is a good thing.
The North stand expansion is another good thing.
The way fans have been treated after they have been banned, been acquitted by the courts, served their bans, attended club run courses to get their season tickets back, and the fans still haven’t received their season tickets back, even though they are still paying for their season tickets, with their season ticket seats being sold by the club at inflated prices to other City fans is another bad thing.
I could go on, but I know you know what I’m getting at.
What the fans need now is a period of stability from the directors.
City will soon have another 8000 seats to sell and fill on match day.
That should be the overriding concern for the directors, bar 115, amongst other lesser things.

My focus is also on the pitch, but it’s also with other City fans.

Well this set of Directors are a million times better than the ones we had through the 80s 90s and the early 2000’s. I’m nor saying everything is perfect but it’s a damn site better than anything I’ve ever known as a City fan over 40 odd years. Some people need a sense of perspective, moaning and complaining is so fucking easy.

The same thing was mentioned on here when the protests were first mentioned. Some of us got absolutely slaughtered for mentioning the word PROTESTS, never mind organising it, and taking part in it. There is a quiet core of City supporters and BM members who are quite happy to let the directors do whatever they want with the club and to the fans without ever questioning anything they do. Thankfully not all City fans are like that, which is not a bad thing in my opinion.

As for your point about how the club was run in the past compared to how it is run now, that’s a valid point.

I had no issue with the Protests about ticket prices - they were justified and were ultimately effective but, that’s not the point. It’s the none stop moaning and fucking groaning that I can’t stand. Clearly some City fans would prefer it if we were languishing in the third tier of English football - just so things can go back to how they were in the 90s where. Things were different BUT times change and the club is no longer run by amateurs. I want the club to be successful and compete at the top level and in order to do so we have to accept change - not all of it good but you can’t want to spend billions on players and run the club like a record shop.

No, I care about our fans, and the way the club treats them on certain issues.
If you think that’s just me moaning for the sake of it about the directors. that’s your misunderstanding and misinterpretation of me as a person and as a City fan.

I think that's a false statement, some of us just go for the football, we can like stuff and dislike stuff. I've not bought any refreshment of any kind in the stadium for nearly 30 years, it's my protest against being ripped off compared to the real world, I rarely buy any merchandise for the same reason. I don't need to shout about it, I just get on with it, City only really get ticket money from me, so I can watch (and support) the football team.
 
The funny thing is, I don’t moan about the North stand.
I didn’t moan about my season ticket price.
I don’t moan about the beer and food prices.
I don’t moan about the atmosphere. I try and play devils advocate on that.
I don’t moan about the staff at City as they all try and do a good job to the best of their ability on a match day.
I’ve never moaned about the investment in the team, in the players, having Pep as our manager, the stadium, and in East Manchester.
I have documented that through my pictures over decades, more so than any other City fan in the world. :-)
I stay out of the match day thread because it’s toxic and full of City fans moaning.
What I moan about, and it covers a wide spectrum of issues, is the way the fans are being treated by the directors at times, which I don’t agree with.
That isn’t moaning.
It’s being concerned about our fans.
Yet some people on this forum think I moan all the time.
I don’t.

I have zero interest in following your posts (many I like), I've never "followed" any thread (or person) in all the time I've posted here, but I respectfully retain the right to to reply on any threads I do visit.

My post on here wasn't about you, it was about what you quoted, a post from outside here, from somebody I know nothing about on "social media", whoever she is (assuming a she because of "rosy" "daisy rose") I've no idea, nor no interest in her social media comments. She's probably been a blue for 10-15 years, and has no real idea of "support", and I don't mean agreeing with the directors/owners, if she thinks these are shit then she hasn't lived being a blue as long as I have.

I haven't the first clue who "daisy" is, and I have zero interesting in finding out, so her opinion to me is about "zero interest".

I'm sure she's lovely, but her post you quoted comes over as just another moaner, who to my knowledge isn't even on this forum (sorry if you are on here daisy - please have your opinion, but it's not shared by the majority).

I’m not different to any other BM forum member.

Certainly not that another BM forum member would pick up on something.

Like I said, we best leave it before it spirals.

You fail to understand that my comments are not aimed at you in anyway, just the person you quoted, who I know nothing about, but is probably younger than the date City were taken over by SM, but I don't care who she is, she doesn't speak for me.

Good, you took my comments as personal against you, and that was incorrect, as I tried to make clear.




On a more gerneral point, the whinging and moaning on here is getting worse, and does seem to be in every thread you go in, it's pretty depressing.

We're a football club, they all have up's and downs, and in many aspects of the club. We must be in the top three or four in the world, it's not that long ago we weren't in the top 500.

Spare a thought for the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Reading, Morecambe (even spurs) etc, they have the truly shit owners right now, who don't give a shite about the club, fans or towns.
