I hope so. I have seen different opinions but nothing official.Rumour is its only an impact injury.

BHA play a high press, the same tactics that Spurs played. Spurs went man for man all over the pitch with Van der Ven following Haaland deep into our own half. Carragher and Henry did a very good analysis of this. They pointed out that if Ederson had played, Spurs would not have attempted this as Ederson gives City an extra man at the back enhancing our ability to play through the press. Ederson can also hit our forwards with long balls going over the high press and leaving our forwards 1 on 1.Wow, almost 30% shithouses in here.
I'm checking what money Tony Bloom has on it before committing to a win/lose/draw
I dont see any huge rush getting Cherki into the team, he is young and has a lot to learn about the premier league. I would have him on the bench Sunday and use him as a sub for now.
I would go with a solid Rodri Silva middle two.
Not sure Pep would go with this but I think it is something worth experimenting with. However, I assume Ait-nouri will not be available for selection which would necessitate a change, perhaps O'Reilly could be drafted in. The GK position is probably the biggest issue, if he is staying on I think Ederson starts. If Trafford is in goals I think we should be working on new ways to beat the press. We need a lot more movement off the ball to create space and players taking responsibility to recieve passes in our own final third.I think it could work if we packed the midfield and defence out and just put Phil and Cherki behind Earl with license to roam. Wing backs for width, 3 centre half's 2 defensive minded central midfielders.
GK
Khusanov
Stones
Gvardiol
Nunes
Gonzalez
Rodri
Ait-nouri
Foden
Cherki
Haaland

The more I think about it the more i feel that the reason Crystal Palace or Brighton have the confidence to go at us is because of our recent struggles against the top 6.
A Bournemouth approach would be very different if they saw us beat Arsenal or Liverpool or the rags 4-0 3-0 the previous week.
The confidence sinks even before a ball is kick.
Now we get defeated by Spurs at Etihad and suddenly Brighton thinks they have a decent chance in the game.
We need to put a marker down like we used to do before. A 4-0 5-0 win every other week and the opponents knows who is the king of the league.
None of this Fulham Wolves Brighton will be tricky nonsense.

We could not deal with the high press without Ederson, so I hope he plays. I voted for BHA win because on the basis that Trafford will play. I am not expecting the Ederson transfer to be resolved until deadline day.

They key to unlock them all

Brighton have made eleven changes for tonight’s match, but I don’t suppose there’ll be any comments about them disrespecting the competitionHope Oxford make them work hard tonight!
