Why are people saying it's a shock result ? We are not talking about the mighty Man United here, 15th in the Premier League speaks volumes and many would have had a cheeky £10 on Grimsby beating them

That's right, a club that fielded a team worth less than £1million beating a team that's worth over £700million
There was nothing between them on the night and if people were watching football for the first time, Grimsby looked the better club
till the rain evened it up

Must be the heaviest goal scoring duo on record tonight,

And they still went out :-)

The significance of City's rise being a mirror image of united's fall is often missed. The single biggest factor in the decline of the rags is MCFC.

And that feels good!
It’s arrogance they thought that they would just carry on regardless, dismissing us as the noisy neighbours Structured like a club from the 80s and they believed that change was unnecessary, confident that they had it all in place and City were just temporary The Glazer family are not businessmen in the class of Mansour and Khaldoon who had a plan and it was put in place recruiting the very best people in their field. They invited their business associates on to the board, identified Soriano and his vision of a multi club model, aware of his friendship with the Barca boys. City’s next big step is succession planning for coach, CEO, maybe chairman but I don’t see KAM stepping down and it wouldn’t be handled like the rags losing their two keys players at the same time
