PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Yep. As far as I can see, there are only three reasons why it's taking so long:

i) it's just routine that these sort of cases take anything up to a number of years. Possible, I suppose maybe even probable, but I have to defer to the legal people on here about that.

ii) the serious allegations were closer than we have been assuming and are taking longer to decide. I really can't imagine that that is the case. I still stick by my view that there is no way on earth the PL can prove those allegations to the standard required.

iii) there is something going on that we don't know about. Impossible to judge because obviously we don't know anything about it.

Hope that helps :)
I’ll hazard ii) won’t be the case. The panel will have substantively determined the outcome as they went along, and will have reached their final conclusions shortly after the proceedings concluded. Writing the determination following that will be an extremely time consuming and laborious process to ensure it is is consistent, cogent, logical and appeal proof (so much as is possible).

I totally get that part of the process takes time, but that doesn’t alter my view that it should have been released by now, even taking into account the complexity of the case, the range of issues that need to be determined and all the necessary back and forth between the panel.

But there’s absolutely no way that the issues weren’t decided some time ago, and most likely within a few days of the hearing concluding (on the outside).

Think point 3 is interesting. I find it strange that certain clubs have spent a fortune this transfer window. Do they know something???

Just speculation but football is very strange at the moment

It looks like the 3 red shirted twats are trying to buy the premier league. Ok well scousers and Tarquins. United just look like they’re trying to buy relegation.
How many people have they sacked now from the cleaners to the tea ladies to even Alex Ferguson.
The roof is leaking badly and they're infested with mice and rats. I mean the four legged variety not Gary Neville and Bruno. :)
Every self respecting City fan should be extremely happy about this due to the way they sneered and laughed at us when we were on our knees.

I posted similar thoughts a few days ago may just be paranoid but levy spending like a drunken sailor on shore leave and the dippers any other year spittys telling everybody lfc can't compete financially with city it's as if they know city aren't going to be playing in the 2nd division and things are about to change

The amount dippers; rags & gunners have spent is obscene. PSR?? Or is it about to be dumped?

They may not know the result but city and there enemy's will have a good idea how it's gone could there of been a gotcha moment explain this? why did you do this ? we can't the silence is defining

Despite what people tell us I believe independence in regulatory bodies & arbitrators is a myth—not because laws don’t demand it, but because power, funding, and appointments quietly shape outcomes. True autonomy only exists when no major stakeholder feels threatened; once political, financial, or reputational risks emerge, influence creeps in through soft pressure, strategic delay, or selective enforcement.

Could the time it’s taken so far be because the panel has unearthed clear corruption by the premier league in aspect towards City, while turning a blind eye concerning other sides..
Some of the evidence from the APT case points towards corruption at the PL. The Judges were very careful with their wording but they did essentially say the PL deliberately obstructed City’s sponsorships and treated us unfairly. That is a big can of worms. If the PL really did charge us with 130 other allegations without any evidence then that suggests it was a corrupt decision.

Agree 100% G and it would’ve been fucking obvious to the parties which way it was going.

I said weeks ago these splurges by the dippers, tarquins and spuds tells us they know rule changes re spending are coming.

And that the rules are about to change after the verdict is announced.

No one's really interested in reporting that City have been unfairly treated. Only Liverpool can be victims. If we win, regardless of what the panel reveal, then we will have cheated but the Premier League couldn't prove it or we paid off the panel. The CAS verdict proved that.

Mansour's success will be in out lasting the other owners and bad agents and gradually gaining influence by being around the decision makers longer than anyone else

The fact is though is the case has been heard it's now up to the independent panel to decide the outcome and not for the Premier League or City to do a 'deal' , that ship has sailed and would have been done before the case had been heard.
Not a deal in the classic sense of a deal to try and make a problem go away before any legal action , but if the prem have now been forced to come to City because it's being proven to them that their rules are illegal and could even be seen as corrupt then they will want to try and see how much of that can be kept out of the public eye, and for that they will be needing Citys cooperation, this is where the likes of Khaldoon and Mansour
Will be striking the best possible deal to ensure the prem never come after us again, and that the prem change how they operate in the future, effectively becoming City's bitches .

I’d lay a pound to a pinch of shit it’s getting binned as soon as the determination is published.

Arsenal and Liverpool both have plenty of head room for PSR
Even if it is dumped by the PL they will still have to comply with UEFA Squad Cost Rules

PL intend to move to squad control rules, similar to UEFA's, the clubs decided to delay its implementation but have it as a shadow model for this season
