Thinking more long term, there's a lot to be positive about - when the players gel more and/or get more accustomed to the league, we'll start raining goals.

Haaland's movement is back today. Good performance and good closing down. Everything Marmoush does seems to be more down to luck that judgement. Defence were generally solid. Trafford with a good save. Rodri looking solid. Bobb pretty anonymous, but then popped up with a couple of great moments. There's a lot to like, but there's obviously a lot to improve. We're struggling to control the midfield and get Reijnders and Bernardo on the ball for one.

It’s a bit frustrating, isn’t it? The ref stopped the game right before the end to get a player checked out, and then blew the whistle just a second after play started. It’s one of those things that makes us wonder about the officials sometimes.

Marmoush appears to lack intelligence, focusing primarily on running and shooting. Had 2-3 opportunities to counter, but he could not see the pass .

Everyone playing well, we seem to be totally in control and cruising. I don't know what people expect, obviously some team chemistry missing when we have so many new players, or at least new in the starting 11.

I personally think we should be 5-0 up at half time like when I play this fixture on FIFA on my playstation. Not good enough in terms of score v xg

If you were watching this as a neutral, you’re probably say these are two poor sides. Not a good half of football.

The biggest positive is Brighton have created nothing so far.

From our standpoint, we look a shadow of our former selves. I know it’s early days but currently, it doesn’t look like we’ve bought well…again.

RAN has been woeful. His right foot is only for standing on, yet every time he gets the ball, he cuts inside on to it. The one time he went outside, he put in a great cross for Erling. If he is going to provide the width on the left, he has to stay wide and go on the outside.

Marmoush is a human pinball machine. The ball can just go anywhere when it goes to him. Unsure if he meant the assist, it looked like he did but everything else about his game suggests he has no idea where the ball is going.

Rodri has been really good.

Need to get Bobb on the ball more, he shows far more composure on the ball than the majority out there.
